Haha, thanks, but you really don't know the guys in my school!! rofl There's only like three I'd even accept anyway... I don't really know, but I've got a couple of friends who are being dateless wonders with me! It's kind of fun because we just go to all the dances together and make fun of the couples making out!
As for making sub-forums... That's something I'd really, really, really like to do, but I've heard they cost gold, and I don't know how much, and even if I did, it wouldn't make any difference because I'm only crew, and I haven't come across anyplace that says "Make a subforum" or anything. And I don't know if you've noticed, but I noticed that Haleysbro1 made that thread on aspiring writers and called it a forum or a subforum or something... So, I don't really know what's going on. I'm just trying to make as many threads for people to discuss and hope we get sub-forums to move them into at a later date! (I really don't have much control at all... Just the ability to delete, edit and add/ban people.)

As far as relationships go, as I've mentioned, I live in a very small town (ie, guys who'd be my type... So far = 0). So, no, I don't make out with my boyfriend between classes because let's face it - I highly doubt I'll ever get a real date until college. Guys who live for hunting, drinking and sleeping through class are not going to go for the girl on honor roll for straight As who always has her nose stuck in a book. Sadly. Plus, I'm probably too opinionated or sarcastic for them... It's happened. Plus I travel way more than a lot of them, so I have a really open mind, and they're kind of the "they're different so we aren't going to like them" while I'm "They're different. Wonder why/how?" Idunno. But I've resigned myself to being a dateless wonder, and so I guess my motto's gotta be "You've got to be single to mingle!"
And as far as running the guild goes... I don't want to interfere with the captains' desires (which I don't know what they are), even if they're rarely on and all, so I'd feel kind of awkward saying help me run it, because I don't know if I'm "running" it, but if you wanted to make topics dedicated to your favorite books or something (just start a bunch of topics. Luz and I have been hesitant to make threads dedicated to specific books because we figure we'll pick our favs and no one else will have heard of them...) that would be extremely wonderful. I think what the guild needs is just a bunch of topics and posts with lots of different discussions going on, both in general and for specific books/series. And Luz and I can't do that by ourselves because we're such twins that it might end up excluding the rest of the guild, which we don't want. And, I'm going to make an "announce your absences" thread because I'm going to be gone all weekend and then the week of the 27-6 because I'm going skiing in the Rockies!! biggrin (SO EXCITED!!) I'll miss some of the Olympics, but that's why hotels have TVs!! (So we need people to post lots for me!! rofl )

Yeah, they do a little. We've got this one really gross couple in 8th grade that we gossip about all the time in Spanish and chem... It's really funny because the girl never pulls her shirt up so half her "boobs" are hanging out, ie it's disgusting, and the guy takes a shower like once every 2 wks, as evidenced in greasy hair, BO and actual admittance to the fact... They're on-again, off-again and constantly making out/feeling each other up in the halls so the excessive PDA is nasty and no one wants to see it anyway... And then when they were going out for two weeks for the umpteenth time, she put a poster on his locker saying "I'll love you 4ever and all ways" (exactly like that, or maybe always was misspelled some other way, but we were like "You're in EIGHTH GRADE, if you're going to be announcing eternal love so publicly, at least spell it right!)...... They're amusing to discuss. rofl Our Spanish teacher joins in, saying how he never gets how you can have an "actual" relationship that young and our chem teacher always says how she doesn't understand why they have to "kiss" goodbye (ie, make out excessively, like sticking tongues down throats with full hands on asses in the hallway) between every class and writing notes during every class too... I don't get it either. I mean, sure, one kiss between a couple classes, but eighth graders full-on making-out because they're not going to be able to hold hands for 47 minutes??? rolleyes Oh well, it makes for interesting discussions to sidetrack teachers with! xd

That would be fun! I'm pretty sure our gayom teacher would freak if we did that because we'd be "distracting others from doing their work." Of course, if we're distracting ourselves from our work, then it's perfectly acceptable... rolleyes

That sounds familiar. I'm pretty sure my math teacher hates me because she knows that I think her class is a joke, since I only do my assignments (well, the parts I feel like doing, I should say... Once I did the first 3 problems and stopped because I didn't want to turn the page in the textbook. sweatdrop ) for the first 2 wks of the quarter so that I have enough fluff space and then I don't do much else the rest of the quarter, except watch my grade fall to the minimum A+... That may sound impressive, but it's really not. Take good notes, use a little common sense, read a book, talk with friends, get an A+... Almost the same in history. In my class of 14, 8-12 sleep, 2 pay always attention, the rest either do homework or somehow tune the teacher out (I always use the time as study hall or to catch up on my reading!!). That's the only reason I like that class, and it's always priceless to see his face when he's talking about something, no one's answering it, I'm flipping pages in whatever novel I'm reading, and without looking away from the book, I'll just answer it correctly. rofl One other girl in my class can do that too and she irritates him by tying in a fact from her Random Facts app into class. He gave her the world's evilest glare the day he was talking about the Pony Express and she mentioned that licking a stamp is a tenth of a calorie... Priceless, absolutely priceless!

Do you go to school in a city or something? That sounds absolutely horrendous. I think I'd go to school every day with my nose stuck farther into a book than ever before... A lot of the guys here have at least half their boxers showing, but no one really cares. A few girls dress rather ho-ishly, but it's really not that big of a deal here thankfully. Mostly it's just a matter of who's calling in sick so they can go hunting... rolleyes I'm pretty sure that the first day of deer season is the day with the most kids absent traditionally (or at least the most guys missing). Personally, I can't believe parents would call their kids in sick for that, but I guess if they're calling in sick or taking a personal day too... Well. Who knows? We're mostly a bunch of rednecks here, I guess. xd Smart kids or rednecks. rofl

Yeah, that sucks. That's one thing I like about being in a really small school... I know every kid from 7-12 and a lot in elementary grades too, and we all know everyone and everyone knows everything, so kids don't do really bad stuff (usually) because there's such a high chance of getting caught. Plus, it doesn't hurt that our school prides itself on academic excellence and whatnot, so everyone graduates (exception being 1-2 kids every couple years) and most kids go on to some form of "higher education." Though, in recent years, it has been declining somewhat... Unfortunately. I blame this year's freshies.

That sucks. That seriously sucks. I would kill my classmates and the seniors if they did that... But I go to a really small school, so it's a HUGE competition, though the competition has been steadily declining in recent years, sadly. Plus, they save all that stuff for the annual end-of-the-year water balloon fight on the streets outside of school. Lately they've been filling balloons with mayo, chew, supposedly piss, ice, and multiple other things, so I haven't gone to one yet... Plus I didn't drive-drive until this year (ie, I drove, but my parents didn't let me drive by myself very often).

It's just plain creepy and awkward (which I fail to spell).
I have to admit, I love some of my avis outfits. I do have blue eyes, but I changed the hair because I HATE mine...

Haha. My chem teacher is just absent-minded. She was going over conversion factors and she said "and that would equal the molar mass" ... she wrote "= molecular mass" Same thing? I don't really know. She's retiring after this year, though, which is sad because she's awesome, just forgetful... Our other science teacher is terrible. He hates the six of us who take chem just because we took prechem 9th grade year instead of phys sci and now we're taking chem instead of environ sci with him... He's a douche in the extreme most days... D: He disqualified our class from a homecoming relay because he wanted his class to win and was just disappointed that our class is so much more awesome was going to win... If he wouldn't have done that, we would have tied for first with the seniors and his class would have gotten second... But did he? Of course not. Ugh. He torques me off.

Spooky as in twin scary? (I get that a lot. I think I currently have at least 4 nonbiological twins...) biggrin
I thought I had the craziest math teacher, but nope. You most definitely have the craziest math teacher I've ever heard of... Hasn't she ever heard of allergy medicine or shots? Seriously. Not to mention -> white boards??? Stickers are fun though... Especially putting them in random places. My old math teacher (the bestestestestest math teacher ever) gave out stickers any time you got 90%+ on a test/quiz and we'd put them on his podium, above his white board all around and on top of his door, the ceiling, calculators, ourselves, etc... As long as they never went near his "starship Enterprise" or whatever from StarTrek, he was fine with it. How I miss him this year... We're stuck with this dumpy teacher who's got the world's worst case of halitosis ever... And it looks like she hasn't brushed her teeth in 20 years... D: And she's always so happy - she never stops smiling... It's rather creepy to see someone get so excited about how far a dog can roam on a 20 ft rope attached to the midpoint of a shed........ rolleyes

That. Is. Awesome. I swear I'm the only kid who reads regularly here too... Today I had to give a presentation to the local Rotary club and afterward, I didn't want to go back to school because that meant going to chem (which I conveniently left the textbook at home...) and I almost hate chem, so I drove over to the library for twenty minutes or so... biggrin Had a nice chat with the librarian, checked out 11 books... It was nice! And then I had to go back to school (sadly...), but I had speech practice I had to get to, so it wasn't too bad - plus we had a sub in history, so I didn't have to listen to the dreaded monotone! rofl (Though, all I do in history is read... Yesterday history allowed me to finish up my second book of the day! It was greatness!)

Haha. I know the feeling. Do you live in a small town too??? I sometimes think I'm the only bookworm in the county, but I know there are others who like to read, but there's no one in the school who reads as much as me... It doesn't help that I can have just a little bit more time than those who would read and that I can read about twice as fast as them, and I put a priority on reading... So I read waaaaaaaaayyyy more than anyone else. Sadly.
My English teacher gave us an assignment to read 600 pg 1st semester and 700 pg 2nd. Guess who (even though it was the fifth day of school) had first semester taken care of?? And now today we got 1st semester's back. I got 15 extra credit points because I'd read like 62-65ish books... sweatdrop It's almost embarrassing, I guess. rofl

That's nice. I wish my town was more stupid, but I'm afraid some of them are about as low as they can be on the IQ scale... Some are rather intelligent though, but they're smart enough to realize the futility in stealing from a public library...
