I am Tara. Some people call me Star, or Stara, but mostly I'm just Tara. When asked "Who are you?" My initial response is usually, "I'm a Writer." And so I am.

I love words, I love to read, and writing is absolutely part of my existence. It does so much for me. Most importantly, it helps me to find myself when I am lost and don't know what to do or am so confused that I don't know how to feel. I sit down and write, and as I do, it all just flows out of me, and when I'm done I know that everything I just put down is exactly how I feel, and then I am free to address it. It is the most amazing feeling.

Currently I am a college student who's gotten adrift...married a guy who was going into the military and planned on going the online route and changing my major from Creative Writing to Psychology, because no one offers CW online, and because Psychology literally amazes me. But...I am currently separated from said husband, and there's no working it out, so I am basically single. And school will happen again eventually, as soon as I get on my feet. Still planning on going the online route. =]

Besides that, I'm just an average girl. 21 years old, I love my friends and my family. They are more important to me than I can even begin to describe. They are everything to me.

Music- THE USED and MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE!!!! And Family Force 5. Besides that,just rock in general, seriously all kinds of rock. LP, MCR, Hollywood Undead, senses Fail, Fall Out Boy, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, G N R, Aerosmith, 3DG, Nirvana, Cheap Trick, Garbage, Hinder, Buckcherry, Bad Company, just to name a few. A little bit of "other", meaning not rock...like some Rihanna, Eminem, Mariah Carey, Adam Sandler...again, just to name a few. Basically I like anything except opera, jazz, country, or classical. I'm not big on rap, either, except Eminem. I'm not big on any other particular genres really. Mostly a select few artists and/or songs. But give me something even remotely rock-like, and I'm almost certain to like it =]

Movies and TV - All movies starring Adam Sandler and produced by Happy Madison Productions, [especially Billy Madison] Nightmare Before Christmas, Dirty Dancing, Donnie Darko, The Devil's Rejects, Blades of Glory, The Ring, Anything of Stephen King's, 40-Year Old Virgin, Pay It Forward, Napolean Dynomite, Clueless, Save the Last Dance, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Drop Dead Fred, Titanic, She's All That, Mean Girls, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Orange County, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Can't Hardly Wait, Juno, White Oleander, Soooooo many others. I love movies, and I can hardly even pick a favorite genre. Horrors a re big for me, though, cause I love to be scared, though I hardly ever am, which is disappointing at times. But at the same time, I love comedies and chick flicks too. As for TV - SCRUBS, The Office,Ugly Betty, Family Guy, South Park, SNL, MadTV...whatever is on really

Books- I love to read, so I don't really have a certain favorite...but here's a bunch I love...Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, The Luckiest Girl In the World, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Go Ask Alice, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Dark Half, Thinner, Josie and Jack, The Plucker, The Devil's Rose, Such a Pretty Girl, the Cyd Charisse books, Harry Potter, The Inheritance books, Butterflies In May, Sarah Dessen (author), the Mortal Instruments series, The Kite Runner, anything and everything by Stephen King/Richard Bachman, The Twilight Saga, Robin Cook and Dean Koontz (authors) and many, many more. Reading is a huge part of me.
