Right, gotcha. I never played it myself though (on account of not being a hardcore enough fan of Castlevania to think that I would enjoy it to it's fullest extent) but I saw the artwork and screenshots. Assuming you are that hardcore fan, did those redesigns bother you a lot? Or could you accept it and enjoy the game regardless? (Carmilla though, YUM.)

It helps that the music in the DS game is sooooo good. Thought lots of Castlevania music is delicious. It's one of those kinds of music that makes you wanna learn how to play the organ.

Speaking of anime-style, I'm sure you know that Wii Castlevania game? The fighter one? They all looked like Death Note characters. That was odd.

Graphics looked fine to me. Or do you mean the actual art work for the character? I didn't play the GBA fan. I'm not really a die-hard Castlevania fan by any means. I just liked grinding in that DS game.
I NEVER DID GET THAT FRANKENSTEIN SOUL.
