"They haven't been making things exciting for us, that's for sure..." Arashi sighed. "I'm sure Tajra would make things more exciting, but he's in Alohaha. Not sure WHY, since it's freezing cold...But whatever."
Arashi facepalmed. Ryo was just being his normal, stupid self. "Hey, Thunder," he said to the sphere of lightning, "Doesn't it get boring around here?"
Arashi was bored. He was spending his winter break doing practically nothing, to his dismay. He noticed Ryo petting a Ranger's Munchlax nearby, shrugged, and walked over to them. "Seeing that I have nothing better to do, I'll watch," Arashi sighed.
Haruna smiled as she watched Plusle and Minun play with each other as they battled the grunts. Still, she had to ask why the grunts were attacking them, so she did. "Who are you guys and what do you want?" she asked them, pointing at one of them.
I can't believe he didn't remember me... Haruna thought, looking down sadly before pulling herself back up. Her hair shook as she raised her head. "Okay Bayleef, You know what to do!" she exclaimed, pointing forward. Bayleef jumped in front of Haruna and swirled several leaves at the shady figures.
"Masaru-kun!" Haruna cheered, seeing her old friend from the Hoenn Region on the upper floor. She and Ikki helped him and several other Pokémon Rangers fight Team Rocket in Hoenn before they arrived in Sinnoh. Masaru parted ways with them claiming he needed to return to Almia for an important mission. "What are you doing here in Sinnoh?" She asked him after running up the stairs to the second level of the tower.
Haruna sighed a bit as she entered the tower with Ikki. I hope he doesn't wimp out again... she thought to herself, being sensitive to Ikki's emotions. Throughout their travels in Kanto, Johto and Hoenn, Ikki had always been sensitive to his surroundings. It was up to Haruna to regard them as well. As she approached the elevator, there was a loud beeping sound, and the light above the elevator turned red. She pressed a button, but the elevator wouldn't start. "Weird," she said, "I guess we'll have to go upstairs the long way."
"Remember the Cherubi I caught in Eterna City?" Haruna asked him, "Well, During my gym battle with Volkner..." she tossed a pokéball, and a purple flower Pokémon emerged from it. "Cherubi evolved into Cherrim!" She smiled proudly. "The bad news is that Cherrim needs sunlight or else it hides inside its petals... The top part of Sunnyshore Tower collects TONS of sunlight! So we need to bring Cherrim to the top of the tower and let it change into its Sun Form! I...I was hoping you'd go with me." She smiled, petting Cherrim softly.
"Alright," Haruna said, smiling. She really hoped that Ikki wasn't going to wimp out of climbing the tower with her. She realized she hadn't told him that her Cherubi had evolved. "When we get there, there's something I would like to show you, Ikki-kun," Haruna said, lowering her tone a bit. She grabbed his wrist and dragged him quickly to the Sunnyshore Tower.
"Yup!" Haruna cheered, "Bayleef and I swept that guy's gym! His Electabuzz was a piece of cake!" She smiled as she glanced at her ribbon case--Four ribbons. One more and she could compete in the Grand Festival at Lake Valor. "You wanna go see Sunnyshore Tower like we'd planned?" She asked, smiling.
