OMG MARRY HIM!!!!! LOL Honestly Shadow - I did all those things you did - as a child we (my sisters and brother and I) all bought and installed carpets, put together furniture - painted the house - all that stuff, but I still like to be treated like I'm a lady and special. maybe you don't realize how truly special you are and that's the part you have trouble with. All the "special treatment" won't last forever LOL - it's part of the courtship ritual, but girl..enjoy it while it lasts! you deserve it. It doesn't make you any less capable or accomplished - it's just a way to show you that you are consider valuable and special and well..a lady (whether it's true or not razz ) LOL And dangit - if it's a true friend - level with him - let him know you and your demons - something tells me he'll still think you are awesome..and if he doesn't..well screw him! he doesn't deserve you anyway LOL and if he loves you just for all the good/the bad/ the ugly - well dang girl that's hard to find - grab that golden ring - allow yourself to be loved and treated the way you deserve - if he knows you he will be patient and let you get used to the idea and you two will grow and evolve and find a happy medium - I say go for it!

I don't know what to say..do you not feel anything because you have had to harden your heart?..would you like to? if he is truly a friends..maybe he knows this and he would be patient with you as you learn to open your heart = not an easy thing to do when you have built up so much scar tissue - but if it's something you would want than ...well...why not try?

I'm that way, too. It's why I apply additional fees if people want me to come up with a design. They can avoid the fee if they give me stock photos and other kinds of photos for what they want on their art.

OMG I love that cat XD I WISH mine was so lovey LOL and I am so sorry for all you went thru - I have had a blessed life full of love and laughter - thats what makes it so hard to be without - vry shelterd life - no kids in our neighborhood so the 4 of us just had each other so well we're close. Tho..my older and younger sister don't speak - they maintained a cold war til my Mom passed and now they don't have to - makes me sad but I can't live their lives for them or make them see that family is everything. You are exceptional - and not at all lazy despite what you say - after all you risked your own self to protect all those cousins - you are so much more loving than you realize - just never learned the right way to express it is all. you fight tooth and nail to keep your family together despite how rotten they can be - they would be lost without you!

FA = FurAffinity

There is a big difference between the communities in both dA and FA. dA tends to have a generally younger audience while FA has a more mature audience. Because dA is more well-known in general, trolls target the site and make others feel uncomfortable about what they put out. FA has its own troll problems, but I feel that my fetish works are much safer and far more appreciated there.

Ohh my gosh... A policy about creating art for a client prevents them from too much control of yourself during the job.

It doesn't really feel like it. It's more like having them do the bigger tasks while I am stuck with the lame, smaller tasks. Later, I get accused of being lazy or not-as-good. It's also really difficult to recover when all of your siblings have bullied you throughout your childhood and teenage years.
