"But, but..!"
While she covered her mouth, the little girl was going to go on about how because Gourdy was a living thing, he's probably on the other side of the lake now or had even already escaped Gourd Lake entirely because of the precense of the Gramaryes, but... She knew better than to argue with her dad, it just wasn't an argument she was going to win. Even if she did use the puppy-eyes.
With a pout, she muttered, "Yes, Daddy..." She then proceeded to eat her food at a slower, but safer pace.
".... She's doing quite well. Looking more like her mother every day. You know she's still waiting for you to come back..?"
Her eyes show a hint of sadness at the last words, showing weakness is very rare for her especially to people she had just met.
"... It's hard to lose your father. Anyway, here. If anything happens... Just call the number on this."
She holds out a card to you, but it doesn't seem to be her own. It has Interpol's symbol on it.
"Aaah, that's right! We have food!"
Determined and impatient to start searching for Gourdy right away, Trucy starts packing in as much food as she can into her mouth.
Being a child it didn't take long til she started to look like a hamster, and unfortunately for her, her plan had backfired as she started eating even slower than before.
"Yes, that much is quite clear. Is there anything else you want to ask?"
She seems more open to you now, considering she hasn't whipped you.
"....!!"
Franziska gladly took her whip back, seeming to become less tense with it on her person again. This time she clutched it tightly in her hands, the leather of her gloves
showing just how tightly that was. With a grip like that you'd think she could take down a bear.
".... That, I don't know. Perhaps he killed himself?"
She says the last part in a bit of a joking manner, little knowing how right she really was.
"Perhaps we will never know... Still, I trust that you are innocent. Especially since you gave me back my whip.
Most people who manage to take it tend to keep it away from me indefinitely, or at least try to."
Trucy, perhaps from being so young, doesn't seem to be bothered by the gathering of people. Maybe she likes having this kind of attention? Or maybe she just doesn't comprehend it yet, the frustrations that come with the large amount of adoring fans. It's hard to say if she'll be so enthusiastic as she is now about paparazzi or not in a few years time, but at least at this moment, she looks to be enjoying herself. The little magician even waves to a few of the onlookers.
"Aww, that's okay! Right, Daddy? Now we have more people to help us! You know, to look for Gourdy!"
She takes in this information, and seems to be in deep thought for a couple minutes before responding to Zak.
"..... "
"... If that is the case, he definitely would not have been able to.
After all, you had hired him spontaneously, and he did not know about the case the day of the trial,
let alone the existence of that diary, therefore there is no time gap
upon which he could have ever obtained that knowing what it was."
Whereas the Granmaryes and Zak had their incredible perception,
Franziska could take in quite a bit of information at once and deduce from it, though not as well as Edgeworth or her father.
She looks uncomfortable without her whip.
"I am helping you because I believe you did not do it. If Phoenix Wright took your case, I believe you must be innocent. And he would never forge evidence....!"
She has a distant expression for a moment before continuing.
"I give my word that this conversation will not leave this room. If anything happens to you in the future, I will take full consequences to what may come as a result."
"Franziska Von Karma. And yes, I know whom you really are.. But that is not why I am here today."
The young prosecutess paused before handing the man something.
"What is inside may or may not prove useful to you in the future.
You're welcome to give it back, or throw it away, even.
Do you have any questions?"
"Oh, no reason... None that I can name, that is."
