Hope is Dead. Only Death Remains.Lady Death
In case you're curious about the two beautiful vixens above.
They are Chaos Comic Characters, Purgatori and Lady
Death/Demon.
Lady Death was first known as Hope, a girl living in medieval Europe. Her father, Matthias, was the 666th generation descendant of the fallen angels. On the other hand, her mother, Marion, was a woman so pure her bloodline reached Heaven.Eventually, Matthias' cruelty triggered a peasant uprising. Matthias narrowly escaped death at the hands of the rebels by summoning a demon, but Hope was captured by the rebels and accused of witchcraft. Faced with the prospect of execution by burning at the stake, Hope uttered an incantation that she had overheard her father use "I conjure thee here before me. I call to thee, illuminators of darkness, destroyers of light. I ask thy gate to open!" This incantation summoned a demon who offered her a bargain -- he would rescue her from death if she would renounce her humanity and serve the powers of Hell. Hope accepted the bargain and was transported into the infernal realms.
Gradually corrupted by the nature of her surrounding, Hope was tainted with evil. She allied herself with an exiled craftsman known as the Creamator who forged weapons for the infernal armies. While speaking to him, she declared that the innocent woman she had once been was dead and that she would henceforth only be known as Lady Death.
Purgatori was born in Egypt around 1390 BC. Her parentage is unknown, save that she has the blood of the Fallen Angels in her veins. Her human name is Sakkara, and she was part of the vast team of slaves that worked on the building of the burial tomb for Queen Ostraca.
One day Sakkara was grinding corn when the Queen came to inspect the progress of her tomb. Sakkara was in the way of her chariot and narrowly escaped being run over. Ostraca wanted to punish Sakkara for not moving quick enough, but as soon as she saw her she was mesmerized by her beauty and her blue eyes. The Queen was well known for her love of women, and Sakkara became the newest acquisition to her harem. The two were married, and for a year Sakkara lived a life of luxury.
Fearing rebellion by her citizens the Queen agreed to a deal made by the general of her army, Ramses: if she married him and made him pharaoh, he would guarantee to keep the population in check and ensure the completion of the tomb. He had one condition: Ramses must be her only lover, and all of her harem must die. Sakkara returned to the palace one night to find all the other girls dead. She fled into the night, in search of the old Celtic slave and his secret of immortality.
She found the old man as he was being attacked by guards. She killed them and he lived long enough to direct her across the desert to a cave set into a mountain peak. There she met Rath, an ancient Celtic vampire. She wanted to gain immortality for her revenge; he wanted a weapon to help him turn man from the civilized path to the wild ways that Rath advocated. Rath drank Sakkara's blood and feeding her some of his own. She gained immortality by becoming a vampire.
As Rath's blood mixed with her own, it combined with the strange blood of the Fallen Angels within her, transforming her into a creature with blood red skin, horns, glowing white eyes, and bat-like wings. At some point Purgatori ends up in Hell. After getting Cremator to attack Lady Death, Purgatori attacked her herself. In a long battle she lost her jackals to the Nameless Wolves but beat Lady Death. When she impaled her with Cremator's sword, her magick backfired, hurting her and allowing Lady Death to escape. Lady Death plunged Purgatori into the Styx, impelling her to tell her the truth, and Purgatori revealed that Lucifer's soul had never actually been inside Lady Death. He reappeared at that moment to confirm the point: he had been playing her for a fool as one of his games. Annoyed at having his hand shown, he took Purgatori to Dis and tortured her while taking Lady Death and turning her into a creature of evil — Lady Demon. Lucifer later decides to make Purgatori his bride but she betrayed the lord of lies and was banished as punishment.
Purgatori, the Demonic Vampiric Goddess, is the immortal enemy of Lady Death. She craves power and will face even Lucifer to attain it. She has taken great pains to carve out a new existence for herself and has sworn to taste the blood of Lady Death again in her final triumph.
Armed with the Vampire sword Nightmare she is embarking on a quest to gain ultimate power in the Universe. She currently hold sway over the blood army by use of her blood magic. It engulfs her victims so that they rise up again in her service but corrupted and decked in red and thorns. Both Lady Death and Purgatori have wielded the hell blade known as Nightmare which feeds on blood.
