Errrr go to the upper menu > games > Fishing. You get a starter rod at first plus you need bait (I bet you have some already. In case you don't, buy it in the fishing hole shop in the shop menu) then you combine both items to fish. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it. I personally don't like fishing because it's boring and because there are many other ways to spend time in Gaia but w.e
