My school always seems to be one of the earlier ones done. Then people whine about it and I have to remind them that the day school gets done depends on the day you started, how long your classes/days are, how many days off and in-school incentives you get...

Huh. Coming from the most backwater state up North, I would have never guessed...

Yeah. Maybe not Greek though, since they mostly teach languages that the U.S. of A. is interacting with currently. But Chinese, from what I've heard, is a big one right now. (Lol, why those two? Vietnamese I can sort of guess, but Greek is completely random to me.)

I've heard German grammar is similar to English, lol. But she predicted that I'd get a high end score, based on my ASVAB score and proficiency with languages already. Which means I'd probably end up getting a really difficult language. ._. Eight hours a day... locked in a room, studying...

. . . But it's cheaper that way, so it's not so bad. D: Then again, I come from a really unpopulated area, so I wouldn't know. No one actually has money to afford college around here, and those that do... Well, there aren't a whole lot of local choices.

Um, it kind of depends on which branch you go into. Not often, but sometimes. Some of them have job opportunities that others don't provide (like driving tanks in the army), but for the most part... You can get a job doing pretty much anything in the military. Only if your ASVAB (it's a military aptitude test) score is high enough though. My ASVAB was close to the top, so I could do almost anything I wanted... which will probably end up being something to do with translation/foreign affairs.

She explained what kind of job linguists do to me, and now I sarcastically tell people, "My training in the military will consist of being locked in a tiny room and forced to study a foreign language for eight hours every day." It's not too far from the truth. XD
