Rei's bio
Born deep under NERV headquarters as a clone of both humanity and Lilith, Rei at first seemed to avoid useing her emotons. As the first child, her test-syncranizaton with Unit Zero had failed, nearly killing her if it were not for Shinji's father. Over the years of recovery, her emotions slowly shaped somwhere inside. And when Shinji became the third child, Rei knew the time was near. It would be her choice.... Either become Lillith and reject all her new feelings for this world while it dies. Or, make her own choices and become a human being.
