hmnn...I know how you feel. I lost all the pictures of my round the world trip except one (-: when my laptop was destroyed. I lived in England for nine years but only went to Ireland for the first time recently...I really liked it. Have been to Scotland a few times and to the Outer Hebrides. I loved the Edinburgh festival...I think you would really like it if you have not been to it..there is beautiful music. Where do you live?

my mom is trying to learn gaelic. When I was in the Outer Hebrides I heard people singing in Gaelic in a church. It was beautiful and unearthly. I think there are 3 kinds of gaelic Manx, Irish and Socittish but I might have this wrong. Have you been to the UK or Scoittish Islands?

i LOVE that cd..I took it with me to Asia and listened to it when I was travelling. Its funny because she does not say/sing the poem the way i had recited it to myself and imagined it but she does it so beautifully...celtic and ancient latin music can be really wonderful. have you heard Anuna, celtic women and medieval babes?

Sorry for the long delay in replying...yes I know what you mean..poetry is compressed language and I love it too. Its wonderful that whole oral tradtions were carried on in poetry. I really like the Viking poetry and also English and Scottish..I like Blake and also "the Highwayman poem" and "the love song of j. alfred prufrock" by Eliot. although I do not like eliots work in general.

I agree, and I always try to ask something or post something in the bottles that might make people think and perhaps come up with interesting replies. ...Unfortunately it doesn't work for everyone, so the "harvest" when the bottle returns isn't always good X)
