I truly don't mind if you ask for a lower price on an item as long as it does not

exceed below two thousand gold of the given price.

This is fair, so please do not ask me to lower it any further.

Also, if at first you ask for a lower price on an item,

do not change your mind and make it even lower by saying:

you spent some of your gold on other items or you thought

you had that amount but only to find out you're 5,000 gold short

or something. It becomes old after the first few people do this.
