"...Scott is only a shell of his former self, Professor. It would do you good to see him..." Storm's gaze follows a trail of clouds passing overhead. "I... there's something different about the patterns of wind today... I must get going Charles." She says, somewhat distractedly, as she summons a small gust to lift her up into the air.

Storm blinks abruptly at the mention of Cyclops. "So. You haven't seen Scott since you've returned, I take it..."

Landing next to you, Storm responds, "Concerned. 16 million mutants were killed. The Xavier Institute revealed to be a school where mutants learn to use their powers responsibly... And your disappearance in the midst... I assume you've had good reason for being gone so long."

Lightening crackles through the air, as Storm descends from the night sky. "Hello Professor."

"How are the kids?"

Erik knew that Charles had sad something, however the roar of anguish became over powering in his mind. A white noise growing louder and louder, like that of a freight train building up speed as it drew closer down a dark tunnel. The pressure around them fluctuated slightly. Power started to emit forth from Magneto as an array of objects within the room, began to shake involuntarily. A deep frown had crossed his features as he stared at nothing in particular. The roar of the approaching metallic train, clapped harder against the tracks, moving faster. Faster, faster, the man made transportation vehicle got closer. The sound of the whistle being blown, warning that it was moving with a purpose, it wouldn't stop, over powering as it plowed its way across the tracks. Mowing over the shrieking screams echoing within his mind. Several small objects by now lifted and hovered above their placement, causing a disturbance within the library.

Sounds of glass spider webbing along the window panes in the library rattled as the glass threatened to break free. The shutters rattled with intensity, of windows quite possibly on the verge of bursting out. As the cup that which Magneto had been holding, slipped from his hand. Falling slowly towards the ground, as if someone had pressed a pause button. The hesitation only lasted a few seconds before the cup made impact against the wooden floors. CrAsH!

The action brought Erik back to the present time, realizing he allowed his mind to drift. Regaining control as everything that had been hovering amongst the room, was slowly lowered back into place. Swallowing back that dry lump that had formed in his throat, Erik apologized thoroughly towards his old friend.

Waving his hand over the assorted pieces of glass, scattered along the floor. A dust pan appeared off from the side, as the troublesome glass was removed out of their site. As innocent as of a statement that Charles had stated, it bore into his side like a nasty thorn. Erik was distractedly with the recent events of Genosha. "You said two lumps... correct?"

Retrieving another cup, he poured tea for Charles again, this time adding the lumps of sugar requested. Picking up the spoon along the tray, he placed it inside the cup of tea. Stirring it slowly, his fingertips slowly moving away as the spoon continued to stir. This time making sure he delivered the cup to Charles without distraction.

"Life is...." His mind drifted, the sounds of distant, horrific screams could be heard for a brief moment in his mind, before they were silenced. "fine." Liar. He approached the library, opening the doors. The tension along his shoulders rippled down along his spine. As he stood there, "Please, make yourself comfortable, Charles. I will.... go and fetch the tea." The tension could be heard in his voice now, as he did his best to remain calm and relaxed for his old friend. He wasn't gone long, as he returned to the library, a rolling cart at his side that seemed to wheel in on it's own accord. "One lump? Or two, Charles?" Gesturing with his left hand towards the sugar bowl. He appeared to be a better mood, since he had left his old friend alone in the library for a short amount of time.

(( No worries. It's quite alright, I figured schedules in school or work might be causing a conflict. ))

Cal nodded and took a swipe at her bangs, which were starting to grow out over her eye. "Well," she said soberly, "we had a run-in with Apocalypse and his Horsemen. He....destroyed Genosha. I haven't heard yet whether there was anyone there to be hurt, but Erik is treating it like a declaration of war. Which, in a way, it is, I guess." Her face puzzled, she looked out the window into space. She looked like a small child who was repeating what an adult said and didn't fully know the import of her words.

Cal laughed and set down the basket. "There's an easy way to fix that, you know. Sabotage his humidifier." She grinned. "My father's a cigar enthusiast, so I know the tricks of the trade and how to reverse them. So, how does it feel to be back?"

"Evening, Professor," Cal says with a smile as she enters the office, carrying a basket of chrysanthemums on her hip. "Brought some mums to ward off the pollution from Logan's cigars."

With a simple gesture, the three-branched antique brass candelabrum lifted up into the air lighting the way. His silver grey eyes studied his old friend for a moment before turning, shutting the door normally behind Xavier. "Ah chess... it's always a nice strategic game to play..." He paused slightly, Erik moving to step at the side of where Charles was. Knowing the game quite well that Charles Xavier was playing, avoiding a subject he did not wish to discuss. "A game won quite well on more than one occassion, don't you agree, Charles?" A musing smile appeared as he walked down the hallway. Erik Lehnsherr would play along for this round. At least, for the time being, until he saw fit to ask of his friend what his real reason for being there was. Other than to pay a friend, a visit. There was always business, behind the playing hand.

Upon the knocking along the door, it slowly crept opened. The sign of life veered around the opening, showing several lit candles in the foyer. The flames licking up towards the ceiling. Yet there was no soul present. Just past the viewing of the foyer, down a darkened corridor now being assaulted by the rain fall from outside along the slate tiles. The darkness and empty hall was now being lit up. Several candles appeared were be lit down the hallway leading towards the foyer. A silent silhouetted figure slowly made its approach towards the visitor who sat waiting at the door way. "By all means, old friend, please make entry before the hall is flooded by the passing rain fall." Stark white hair flowed with grace down past the older man's broad shoulders. That dawned a silken robe covering his body. He was dressed down for the evening, retiring for the day.

Not in his usual attire as one might say, then again, when did this man ever have guests to his home? Stepping closer towards the foyer, his figure came fully into the light. Raising a speculative eyebrow, towards his old friend present before him. His voice was calm and relaxed, "What brings you to my humble abode, Charles?" Waiting for his friend to make entry into his home, as he held onto a three-branched antique brass candelabrum, the candles holding light before the two of them in this darkened entry.
