The old shrine priest's words and bringing out incense to try and 'purify' Kagome's father seemed to rub Inuyasha the wrong way, as he exclaimed,

"Knock it off, old man!!
He is NOT a ghost!
Maybe you'd realize that if you paid attention to your daughter's and granddaughter's reaction's to the fact he's standing here!"

His reaction was clear to Kagome from past experience with him that his reaction showed Satoru had grown on him as a father figure, despite Sesshomaru being his real father.
This was due to how the two were still adjusting to knowing the truth, though Izayoi's presence in the group would undoubtably help the two because close.
The same could be said of Inuyasha's adorable and sweet three year old half brother, Tenshi, who already seemed to have taking a liking to his sibling.

Satoru couldn't help but smile in amusement to see the irony of a half dog demon entertaining their family cat.
However, his attention was stolen away shortly after by Kagome's grandfather heading for the kitchen at the smell of lunch being ready.
His voice was warm, as he called out to the old man that was so very fond of the past.

"Hello, father.
It's been a long time..."

Ironically enough, the one to wake him up was none other than Buyo, the family cat.
He sauntered over to the unconscious hanyou on the floor and gave a deep meow.
Seeing that this didn't cause him to stir, the feline then licked at his face.
After a time, Inuyasha slowly began to open his amber eyes and push himself off the floor.

All the color left the hanyou's face and he dropped to the floor in a dead faint without warning.
It was basically due to already being worked up over the slap and the intense stab of dread digging into him mere seconds later.

He held her close and kissed the top of her head.
A smile then played at his lips and he gently began to rock, as he held his wife.

"Eh!"

Quickly holding the fresh slap mark on his face, he sharply looked at Kagome and exclaimed,

"Kagome, what the hell!?"

Satoru chuckled softly and his eyes warmed in a loving manner.

"It's me....
I'm sorry I've been gone for so long.
This entire time, I've been stranded in the Feudal Era, after I collapsed down the well from being shot by that robber.
I couldn't risk him going into the house, after he followed me, so I lead him to the well house instead."

Following her inside, a nostalgic smile came to his face.

"Amazing, nothing's changed, since I was last here...."

Seeing his wife in the kitchen making lunch, he waited for her to finished setting up the table, before speaking.

"You're still as beautiful as the day I met you, my dear Hana..."

He smiled at Kagome.

"Let's be on out way then."

The two headed for the well, Satoru more or less following his daughter to see where the well was located.
Jumping in, they appeared in the modern era and he couldn't help but to laugh with excitement.

"Finally, I'm home again!!"

He climbed out first and helped his daughter out of the well, before leaving the well house with her, shutting the doors behind him.

When Inuyasha looked like he was about to protest, Satoru held his hands up in a placating manner.

"Relax, Inuyasha.
Exams are extremely important in our era and things will become extremely complicated, should her attendance for school cease entirely.
Should you need an example, imagine the authorities investigating a missing persons case on Kagome because no has seen her in such a long time.
That would mean our family would be taken in for interrogation.
It's not worth preventing her from returning to our era.
Stocking up on supplies is also very important because it's best to be prepared, since anything can happen on our journey.
At any rate, I'm going with her because I want to take this chance to see my wife, my son, and my father-in-law."

Tenshi was currently asleep in Sesshomaru's right arm, as the walked.
One of his tiny hands held onto his daddy's white haori, as he snuggled closer to his chest.
Thankfully, he and Inuyasha seemed to have been getting along and the taiyoukai was honestly glad for that.
