I won't be opening my gifts until after work and a family dinner tomorrow, but I'll be sure to thank you properly when I can. ^^ And I'm glad the card made it to you in once piece -- I wasn't sure how well the ornament would weather the trip. ^^;

But that hand-sign can be interpreted in different ways -- like if you make that same gesture in the U.K., but turn your hand around so that the back of it is facing away from you... it means something *entirely* different from "peace" or "V for victory". xD

Nevertheless, peace during the holidays is always the intent... and I hope that goes for you too. Happy Holidays, Okami! ^^

Your job takes a lot of skill and practice to develop! I'm sure this medical experience is a really good step towards nursing in the future too! Are you thinking like RN, or nurse practitioner, etc?

Oh boy...I remember one of my first jobs related to my field of work. The pay barely scratched minimum wage, did not account for all the traveling I had to do (this was back when I lived in LA and traffic was difficult), and was very physically and clinically demanding. While it was a good experience in the end, it was definitely not something I could keep up in the long run x____x

That's similar to how I took up crocheting too! I was looking for something crafty to do while being bored one winter break! D'awww, you seem really hard on yourself about your projects! The elephant you showed me looked really well-made!! Sometimes the artist can be his/her own worst critic, huh? whee

I have the same problem and my eye makeup is pretty much a mess by the time I go to bed haha. Have to wonder how much eye primer would help. But yeah, I use both Dolly Wink eyeliner and mascara and they're very waterproof. I usually use a normal eyeliner on my eyelid cos pencils are easier to handle but maybe I should try it out to see. And heh when I first started with makeup I had no one to teach me so I thought putting it on the waterline was normal. Which it is now, so I was ahead of my time pretty much lol. cool Now I just use an eye brightener pencil on the waterline instead. :V

Yeah, that sounds like a lot! Hopefully there aren't many patients like me with invisible veins. rofl But otherwise hopefully it becomes easier with practice? And yeah, I don't think you're missing out on anything here lol. Having a guest made me fall out of the habit a little but there's less interesting posts to reply to in WG too. But I'll always turn up again eventually, much to the dismay of some people. emotion_awesome rofl What hairs did you recolor btw? Just curious. :V

Thanks for the gift! emotion_yatta I felt lucky because it took me a long while to figure out what I wanted to get for a few others and there was actually a new release that seemed like a good bet for something you could use lol.

Wow, your profession is so neat!!! I really admire you because I can NOT poke anyone with a needle for the life of me. Blood and needles terrify me, haha...and I actually still freak out when I get my annual flu shots. I always bring a stress ball and the kind nurses take extra time to help me mentally prepare =___= Anyhow, good for you for going down this path!

Crocheted edgings take some skill! I've been crocheting since the end of 2011, though I did learn a bit from a friend's mother back when we were school-aged children. We learned how to crochet one thing (cup coasters) and I remember making like a bajillion of those for fun, hahaha. Didn't pick it back up until years after! How about yourself? When'd you begin knitting?

Oh, and I've been selling on Etsy since 2012~

I can usually figure out crochet doll/softie designs from looking at pictures, but not with knitting at all! Knitting seems much more complex!!

That is lucky, not needing a wisdom teeth removal. XD I think mine were already impacted at removal lol. And then one of them was so in there the guy broke it trying to get it out ahaha. Was blissfully passed out at the time but I imagine that's why my face was bruised rofl. Urban Decay is generally pretty good! Though I haven't tried their eyeliners. Dolly Wink is a good waterproof one that I use. :V Their stuff generally won't budge without a makeup remover. XD My eye was watering like crazy the other day and I didn't look too mangled even so lol.

I feel like when it comes to holiday sales it's always on stuff I want less lol. Though I did get a new hair dryer (Panasonic Nanoe) because of all the sales going on and it's so nice. :V How is your internship going? :3 And yeah, I look at the quartz stub list every now and then to check for any new red hair I might want and sort of wondered where yours were since you'd mentioned them previously.

Ahh, my flights to Taiwan are really long too (from where I live), so I usually bring my hobbies to keep myself busy as well! whee Crocheting has a certain aesthetic, and I think it's generally a bit stiffer and easier to create form with. However, there are some suuuper cute knitted dolls that I've been eyeing!! Especially this little guy! emotion_kirakira Knitted dolls seem softer and more cuddle-able!

Wow, sweaters and stuffed animals? That is awesome!! I've never done a sweater before because that seems like such a big, big project!! I'd really like to try though.
