Or it might just be that I tend to wear blinders - I hate focusing on the negative aspects of other people/things...or at least I just avoid them. I'm always the last to hear about any fights or parties or anything like that >.< I'm actually rather reclusive and asocial. Yeah, SHOCKER...eh
Your town...maybe its like that everywhere and I just haven't noticed? Eh, wouldn't be the first time. sweatdrop
Heh, everyone loves to rag on younger people, freshmen especially. All the news media are so quick to point out all the fights that break out and the suicides that occur but they rarely ever show the good stuff that redeems our generation >.> Really, it's only a small portion that ruins everything for the rest of us *sigh*
And you're completely right about the good/bad egg thing. Were I not "college-track", my high school life prob. would've been so much worse. Ugh, so depressing.
Hm, I might just go to comm. college for an Associate's degree in math, then go to a private uni for a Bachelor's in computer science. Easy, right? lol, I've always had a stigma against community college ever since Sheldon Cooper criticized Penny for attending it in the Big Bang Theory. Now I feel stupid T~T
Another plus, I'll probably get a full scholarship for being salutorian emotion_kirakira Wait. Do salutorians give graduation speeches?! Cause that would be...just...oh dear.

...imagining that is so surreal for me eek I only knew one pregnant teenager and that was two years ago. What was even more strange was how accepting and supportive everyone was, I mean, I thought teenage pregnancy was a bad thing? Eh, I've actually heard that one of my middle school mates had a 3 year old recently...like, seriously?! And yeah, I've heard that doing drugs was common in schools but I didn't realize it happened at my school until last week when someone started smoking pot on the bus...right next to the bus driver - real subtle man, real subtle. As for arrests? It's actually been mostly freshmen. Hell, our school pep rally got canceled b/c of that. lol, I really am spoiled. I take all IB/honors classes so all the "popular" kids I know are nice and friendly nerds/jocks w/ stupidly high GPAs. I only spend time w/ "regular" students during gym >.< Haha, we're all too busy w/ exams and essays to worry about school drama or social lives sweatdrop
Well, I applied to one college...totally regret that. I turned in my SAT scores 3 months late and got wait-listed as a result....so, no? *sigh* I'm stuck between applying to community college, applying for spring semester or skipping a year and going for next fall - this time to multiple schools. Advice?

That cake looks so amazing emotion_drool It's official, I NEED to start baking. btw, Can you send a pic of what you guys eventually make?
tbh, I always find it so hard to believe movie and tv show depictions of teenagers and high school. It's so exaggerated and it's really hard for me to actually imagine anyone I know as doing drugs, getting pregnant or getting arrested - ah, I can't tell if I'm naive or just spoiled with nice people O.o Must. Not. Give. Into. Sterotypes.
lol, you're making me get hyped up for college

I was somewhat joking when I said that since I can't bloody cook (fear of fire and all that) - lol, wish you and your BF luck with all that, hope you don't actually poison each other either ~
Ah, I'm not sure if I should be disappointed about my senior year - I mean, I didn't really do anything aside from some volunteer stuff and academics, I don't even have much of a social life O.o On one hand I never had to deal w/ drama, bullies or fights, but on the other I didn't have any close friends (am I just the most deprived person ever?) - last time I spoke to my best friend was in middle school sweatdrop
lol, I get the feeling that college will just be an...experience. Then again, I was taking college level classes so I'm not looking forward to that >.<

Believe me, you really don't - cupcake poisoning is not a pretty death, lol. - I bet you'd be a worse baker than me (says the girl that set her hair on fire once)
Your school can't be that bad...surely? Hell, what happened to positive senior memories and all that jazz?
...lol, I'm such a hypocrite when I say that considering I've never watched a single school sports game or even joined a club sweatdrop I'm not even in the yearbook!!
Meh. I'll make up for that in college...maybe

The competition was pretty awesome - there was even a pie throwing event xp lol, the juniors were all lined up and those that bought tickets could make their own syrup/whipped cream pie and throw it at their face (vengeance!!!) - some people (teachers) seemed to have some sorta violent vendetta towards them from how hard they were throwing O.o
I think it was organized by the junior class advisors? And maybe 10 juniors, eh. I still think the senior class chilli cook-off was better. Hell, we had REAL food and we didn't serve just chilli.*sniffs haughtily* We're better than that. Plus, do you have any idea how nauseating it is to have 35 cupcakes for lunch? DO YOU?!
Though, I will admit the pancake and bacon cupcake made it worthwhile 4laugh
*facepalms* Why do we upstaters never get any recognition?! WHY?!!!!! crying

...I really should stop talking about exams before I start getting freaked out - I'm currently in the denial stage sweatdrop
Just finished the cupcake competition! lol, so glad my AP calc teacher won "most visually appealing" since I served her cupcakes for 3 hours straight >.<
Though, I still can't believe my history teacher and her shameless self-promotion campaigns. Seriously, she called them Mahatma Gandhi and Marie Antoinette cupcakes, "So good you'll want to start a revolution" - ...so utterly shameless - And she still won "Best Tasting" *sigh*
And yeah, a lot of students don't care/have time for events - maybe 30 students came for this cupcake thing? And only because their lacrosse coach was volunteering. It was really mostly staff/parents O.o
btw, where do you live? lol, I live in upstate NY so snow in April isn't that unusual.

*checks handy dandy exam schedule* It's a max 2 exams per day but I only have 3 days of back to back exams. Others are single exam days for me - so, a total of 10 exams, spread across 6 days, each taking maybe 3.5 hours. It's utterly horrifying to know that History has 3 separate exams=9 hours O.o Somehow, AP Calc is the shortest one...
And yes, WEHAVECUPCAKES!!!! lol, the juniors are hosting it (got inspired by Cupcake Wars on Foodnetwork) - I'm actually volunteering for it which is why I mentioned it xp
The only issue I have is that there's also an Earth day grounds clean up before that which I'm volunteering for and there's a pretty good chance it's going to snow...in April...wth it's been snowing all week - I thought this was spring?!
