Not at all. It's called 'Silver Bells', it's an evolving item, but it only evolves if you equip it. I have a later stage, but others have finished and they evolve into 1 of 3 different kitties. If you search 'Belle' in the MP you can see them smile

Haha, yeah, but that's probably the only downfall to getting free items xD Especially when the trees sell for 2.5-3.3k, the coats for 5.1k and the Baos for 15k!

Randomly in between getting Alchemy Components, you'll get 1 of 3 stores items: a tree for your house (white or green), any of the 7 different color Bao's, or any of 5 different color coats. Those are just to keep or sell depending upon you. But in order to sell the trees you have to go into the inventory arranger. Kinda tedious once you've been given so many trees xD

Yep, down the track they'll become more desirable, hopefully if Gary's Island evolves into some cool stuff. The Tinsel and Pine Needles already sell for 8k each xD
