My best friend on gaia....His dad's in the military, so they've been travelling overseas....

But where he lived when I met him...He lived in Fort Hood in Texas....I met him on gaia, but I'm so scared.

There was a shooting in Ft.Hood! I hope he's ok...

My grandpa (my mom's father)...He's still alive, but when he was 21, he entered the Marine Corps. He dropped out when he was 24, though. Maybe he didn't like it?

And then I have another relative whom I barely knew well. He died, so I went to his funeral, even though I didn't know him well.

And there was a Marine Corps. flag.

I basically found out he was a Marine at his funeral...

So since their time, no one in my family has served in anything in the military.

I do NOT live the military life.
I do NOT live in a military town or on a military base.
I do NOT have JROTC at my school, so I'm not in it.
I do NOT have a military family.
I have very LITTLE military background. (Only 2 former Marines in my family; my grandpa, who dropped out, and another relative who passed away).
My parents are not in the military. My dad's in the Union and my mom's a vet technician.

And we live in a suburban town that's only 2 square miles in New Jersey.

for 3 years? no....lolz.
my husband worked there with a petrolum company
and it was 2 years contract. so. i remember the weekend
flea mkt in manhattan, the atlantic city, coney island, bronz zoo,
chinese food in china twn, beautiful NJ, etc. i dun mind visiting
NY but dun think i wanna stay there.

me and my family were like....speechless.
we just dun believe it. we tot it was a rumor.
i didn't cry but my heart dropped.
no. i dun dressed for halloween for the movie.
we dun celebrate halloween here, so...
