I'm 23, Irish and am a zoology student in UCD, Ireland. My dream career would be to be a palaeontologist and study dinosaurs! It's been my dream since I was about 4/5 (2 years before Jurassic Park came out!)I love animals and have four leopard geckos (two of which are babies of the other two), and four corn snakes, aswell as a large tropical aquarium.
Most of my time, whether it be my spare free time or not, I spend drawing. I love art, although admittedly, I can't paint to save my life! So I stick mainly with traditional art, photo manipulation and digital art (I just love my 21st bday pressie from my whole family - a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet). Another huge interest of mine is photography. I specialise in nature, scenery and macro photos, using my Canon EOS 400D dslr camera....such an amazing camera! Am no good people photography, or food photography (those two my lil sis does best....not that I'll ever let her use my good camera!).
My gear is expensive, and yet I don't make money on these hobbies. Maybe one day I will, but at the time being, it's still money well spent. I'd rather spend my money on excellent quality gear rather than spend minimal amounts on crap that'll break or not last nearly as long. Yes, my first cheap graphics tablet did it's job, and yes I love my pocket digital camera, but neither of them compare to the Wacom tablet, or the dSLR. Money well spent.
I'm a big fan of anime and manga. My fav anime of all time has to be a toss up between Yu-Gi-Oh and Gundam Destiny. Not to mention the anime film Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (I just love the novels!!) But without a doubt, my favourite cartoon character of all time has to be Seto Kaiba (I have 83 Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards!!! Mwahaha!). As for my favourite manga, it's gotta be Deathnote, Rurouni Kenshin and Hellsing!
To be honest, I don't really read alot of books, unless it's manga or comics (ie, got alot of pictures!!!). So it's not hard to choose my favourite book....Vampire Hunter D series! The only book to ever have made me read really fast (it normally takes me years to read a book, these take less than a week). I enjoy the X-Men comics, and I just love Nightcrawler to bits.
Hmmm.....I'm all out of things to say...I'll edit this at a later date if I think of anything.
