"Hello, I'm Mary Weather!!! My half brother is Cain and I'm 10 years old."Cain's little half-sister; her name is also romanized as "Merryweather". First she was believed to be the daughter of Cain's father and a maid. Her mother committed suicide by swallowing poison, and Mary lived as a street fortune teller before Cain found her. After that, Mary is often threatened to be killed by "Delilah." Near the end of the story, Cain reveals secretly to his Uncle Neil that she doesn't share the same bloodline as him. She was fathered by the head of servants in Cain's house who died before she was born. Nevertheless, Cain loves her as his true sister despite knowing the fact. Mary is very outgoing and strong-willed, and often annoyed by Cain's relationships with women. Cain hands the title of Earl/Count to Mary Weather toward the end, making her the head of the Hargreaves family, and Mary is determined to live up to his expectations. At the end of the story, we find out that years after Cain and Riff's deaths, she is pregnant with Oscar's child. She waits for Cain, hoping that he'll keep his promise to have a tea party together in the garden.

*Merry sniffled and wiped her tears slightly, smiling at this other Marie. At least this small feud was over with now..."Yes...dear brother Cain would be dastardly to turn you out! I wouldn't let him do it, I wouldn't!" Merry giggled and took the other girl' hand. "Yes..let's be good friends, alright?"
Emile takes Meriweather's hand and drags her with him into the foyer. "Your brother" he begins as he swings mary closer to him "is seeking to take my sister from me, so now I shall do the same to him"
*Merry watched this girl and frowned slightly. Why was she acting like this?* Older brother cares about you very much--don't doubt it. Besides, you have your older brother and I have mine... *Merry said before a lump formed in her throat. She felt bad for saying something horrible to the other girl. The blue eyed little girl avoided eye contact with the other and sniffled.* Older brother loves you, okay? And I know he will, always and forever. You're right...
*Merry clenched a bit of her dress and looked down at the cold hard ground* I'm just...selfish...
*Merry paused and flushed red. That was a little too harsh. She giggled nervously and rubbed the back of her head with a slight smile.* Erm..! I'm sorry...that was truly horrible of me! I'm terribly sorry!
