About
I am a 20 year old college student who has been studying "occult" matters since the age of eleven. My mother went through a period of time when she was very interested in astrology. And not just, "What is your sign's color" etc, etc. She was HARDCORE. I can remember the piles handwritten research and charts shoved into books.
It seemed interesting to me, but far to complex and math-like for my young mind to pay much attention. I had other thoughts on my mind.
Originally my interest was purely based in psychic abilities, and I read several books and watched several documentaries on the subject over the course of a year.
Because books on psychics are often located in the "spiritual/metaphysical/occult" sections of libraries, my interests began to expand, though fortunately I in my more recent years I've had access to far better sources than libraries.
I often shared my findings with my friends, sparking particular interest to one of them, and she grew up to be Wiccan. I am not Wiccan, personally, and despite my username do not have specific religious affiliation. I consider myself and eclectic monotheist.
Anyway, during my senior year of high school, I met with a pair of elders from a grove that is based in the city where I knew I would be going to college. I chose this grove over others in the area because this grove actually does not show preference for a specific deity, and is open to all religions. They are far more practical than other groups in the area.
Over the past nine years I have accumulated well over 1000 "occult" books, most of which are on the computer and are terribly disorganized.
As an off-note, I'd like to add that I spell magic without the K at the end, simply because I don't think it needs it. People should be able to know what "type" I am talking about if they are reading in context.
