I haven't bought any new items in months. I'm so lazy. xd I haven't really felt like playing the market recently. I tend to get a little obsessed while I'm waiting on something to sell. sweatdrop

In any case, a two month course of night classes seems like the better immediate option until I can get a good paying job to fund more coursework.

I have a buddy in choir who is a paralegal, but I think she's also been one for most of her life, and she's in her 70s now. So, I'm guessing things might be a bit different now. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Here's the brochure for the paralegal program at the community college.

Here's the checklist for the paralegal program at Samford.

They are both certificate programs, but the Samford one seems so much longer and intensive. I'm wondering if both certificates carry the same weight.

I'm going to need to check into it, but when I looked at the community college website, I saw something where you can get your certificate as a paralegal after two months of coursework for only $800. Then again, I'm not sure about the differences in paralegal degrees. I think that Samford offers an associate's degree in paralegal studies, but it's so expensive to take any courses there. I was also never able to find any details about the program there thanks to the super vague listing on their website. I could call about it, I suppose.

I'm definitely still applying for it! xd I just want to have something that will help me get a job when I get back, or something to fall back on if I don't get in. There are tons of want-ads for accountants in the newspaper, so there is definitely a job market for it. I also think it would be pretty cool to be a paralegal. Of course, being a lawyer would be way better.... and more expensive. sweatdrop

I think it would be fun to do that dance at work! xd But, yeah, I found out that if I take just five courses at the local community college (4 out of those 5 can be taken online), I can get my certification. Of course, trying to work full-time as a sub and being a full-time student would probably kill me. I'm hoping I can take three courses in the fall, but we'll see how that goes.

The funny thing is that I wasn't even on at that time. I'm wondering if it's hiccuping with statuses or if someone is trying to hack this account. If they did, they would be very disappointed. I don't even have 500k worth of gold and items on this account at the moment. I'm still rather fond of this account though.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing. They have different tracks for the youth to sign up for, but I have no say in what I'll be doing since I'm going as a chaperone. Hopefully they'll put me in a fun track.

I just got the schedule for the trip, and I don't know if we'll even have any time for sight-seeing. sweatdrop I'll just have to cross my fingers. I have a feeling that I'll barely even realize I'm in New Orleans if we follow the schedule outlined.

I've never been before, so I'm excited. I'm not sure how much site seeing we'll get to do because this is a mission trip, but hopefully I can visit a gift shop and buy a french mask. I also want to try beignets. xd

Thanks for the compliment! I needed something to use while I'm in limbo avatar-wise. I was planning on starting the guild festival today, but I just found out that I'm leaving for New Orleans on Monday. Maybe I should start it on the 16th when I get back. I feel like a terrible guild captain. sweatdrop

I got EVERYTHING off of it. xd I got all of the music I had downloaded, Hetalia, and my manifesto on unemployment. I had everything else backed up already. I'm so glad I was able to get it off. I was really missing some of that stuff.
