Quick Intro

insanity at its best!】 - last update// Aug 26, 2008

Omg. This Gaian avatar is obviously cosplaying. Get a grip, don't spaz out - other people do this all over the flamboyant place. So this is your not-so-standard disclaimer (not that one is even überly necessary) to let you know that, duh, I'm not the real Malik Ishtar. In fact he's a fictional, *gasp*, character. I also don't own Yugioh. Clearly, Kazuki Takahashi did at one point but then he sold the rights so idiots could make GX. Which sucks. Pitifully.

However! I do roleplay. And for 98% of all purpose of this Gaian avatar, I will be acting as Malik. Drop me a comment or PM here on Gaia if you'd like to roleplay on or off of Gaia. Once you get a hold of me, I can dish out other contact info for instant messengers and the like.

And in case you haven't noticed: I appreciate literacy. Though... randomly you will see me talking (mockingly) otherwise.

Lastly, it isn't so obvious, but I'm a lesbian (lawl, female IRL) but I'm really into yaoi. Offended? Buzz off. I don't care that you're a narrow minded fool who has nothing better to do but flame.

Moving on. Dub or sub? Snippets of both.
Lawl, just look at the messed up bio below. Japanese names most of the time, since I know them. (*eyes knee-high stack of Japanese dvds in the corner*) However, while fully exposed to the uncut goodness, I'll still hold on to English names (notably Rare Hunters instead of Ghouls, Slifer instead of Osiris), and some other minor details. However, after just listening to the Japanese version, there's no going back to using Marik instead of Malik. So, now, thanks to much fannon exposure of the years, Marik is now a name reserved only for his yami. Though, Yami no Malik is still much loved, as it fits in nicely next to Yami no Bakura and Pharaoh no Baka. (Catch that?)

PS, for my terms of usage:
hikari/yami/past
Malik/Marik/Maaliki
Ryou/Bakura/Bakura(Touzoku)
Yugi/Yami/Atemu
Seto/---/Seth

Malik Ishtar

plot driven auto-biography】

I possess the Millennium Rod, and Isis is my older sister. My sister and I come from a line of those who await the return of the Pharaoh. My father wanted a 'true son' to carry on legacy of devotion to the Pharaoh, even if it meant I spent the rest of my life living in the tomb to safeguard the two Millennium items we watched over, the Millennium Rod and Necklace.

Even though I was brought up learning the teachings of the ancient writings and of the Pharaoh, I was reluctant to give up my freedom. Then, when my father ritualistically carved the Pharaoh's story into my back, my anger got the better of me, and instead of fading off, it become like a... split personality, though I wasn't fully aware of him until later. Rishid was the only thing that calmed me down.

Eventually I convinced my sister to help me sneak out of the tomb and see what the outside world was like. Rishid promised he would cover for us, but when we came back my father had brutally attacked Rishid and was intent on killing him. Rishid was like a brother to me, though we were never truly related. He was the one who comforted me all the time and made life down there bearable. All my hate for my father erupted to the surface again and I blacked out... my evil split personality picked up the Millennium Rod we guarded all those years and killed my father. Shadi appeared and said it was the will of the Pharaoh. That pissed me off. I realized it never was my father's fault we lived down there all those years, it was the Pharaoh's. I swore revenge.

I ran away with Rishid, leaving my still faithful sister behind, to explore the world and to find the Pharaoh's reincarnation. I learned the ability of the Millennium Rod and used it to "recruit" members into the Rare Hunters. I saw a boy who looked like the Pharaoh on television, dueling with cards. I then set out to steal the Egyptian God cards from my sister so someday I'd be able to fight Pharaoh.

I stole Winged Dragon of Ra and Slifer the Sky Dragon, and then sent my Rare Hunters after the Pharaoh. I entered my Rare Hunters into the Battle City tournament. Pharaoh obtained Slifer after defeating one of them, and I learned that my sister had given Obelisk the Tormentor to Seto Kaiba, the man hosting the tournament. Then I entered myself the Battle City tournament (under the alias of Namu) along with Rishid.

Rishid posed as me, since Pharaoh and his lackeys had never seen my true face. That allowed me, as Namu, to get closer to his friends and study them. Little did I know, the fake Millennium Rod and counterfeit Ra I'd given to Rishid would anger the gods. Rishid didn't die, but he fell into a state of deep unconsciousness. But as he fell that day, my darker half awoke once again. Only then did I learn the truth of my father's death...

Yaoi & Pairings

fluff on up】

Here's a small list of pairings I have done, would do, or don't mind. There are other pairings out there, and either there is a reason they're not on the list (aka, it creeps me out), I forgot about it, or its a rarely done (were they on crack?) pairing.

【Malik】x 【Marik】
【Malik】x 【Bakura】
【Malik】x 【Ryou】
【Malik】x 【Joey】
【Malik】x 【Yugi】

(ancient Egypt)
【Maaliki】x 【Seth】
【Maaliki】x 【Touzoku】

(Incidentally, I'm used to roleplaying as Yami Bakura, not Malik. xD I just felt like doing something new.) PS: Fannon makes Malik such a slut at times. u_u I'd rather keep in character.

Maaliki

Joey or Jonouchi (no preference)
Jono (past self)

Tea or Anzu (no preference)
...but she's more tolerable as Anzu.
