Luigi Largo is the oldest sibling in the Largo family at 37 years old. Originally, his character was named "Luci Largo" (in the stage plays), but he was renamed "Luigi Largo" for the movie.

Luigi has an uncontrolled and short-fused rage. He has a large collection of knives which he uses to stab those who bother him. In the stage play runs, he used to carry a flask with him to drink from on a regular basis. Luigi directs much of his anger towards his younger brother, Pavi.
