About

“I’m sorry…I guess we all can’t be the good guys.”

“Jistian…”

“No Trei…no. Maybe we’ll cross paths again. Maybe…maybe when we meet we’ll be friends again…maybe….”

“Maybe.” Trei stretched his hand out, but he let it fall down beside him again. He turned his head to the side, his many brown bangs flowing softly in front of his eyes. He didn’t look as the darkness came around Jistian. He didn’t watch as suddenly everything turned black…

Trei jolted up, a gasp of breath escaping his lips. His green eyes were wide, frightened as they glanced around the room. Another breath, another hesitation. And suddenly he jumped out from the bed, the covers casting aside as his feet landed deftly upon the wood.
Jistian…Jistian…
He jolted down the stairs, his feet pounding as within moments he stepped out into the stone streets. His emerald eyes glanced around him, deep into the cold night, and finally drifted up to the sky, a final gasp escaping his lips in shock. What…?

Light erupted in the sky as great ships flashed through the star strewn blackness, reflecting in his eyes like flashes of existance. And with a sudden clang of metal Trei’s eyes shot down to earth, glancing from side to side. Great metal armor surrounded him and he opened his lips parted in awe. Trei looked around as they seemed to have appeared from nowhere and instantly another surprise was to come. He spread his arms out instinctively, a shimmer of light flashing through his skin. His thin arms suddenly changed and a beam of light solidified from the back of his wrists, changing into a gunmetal blades. Little streaks of armor spread up his arms and suddenly time seemed to take a breath, everything straining...and then attack.
No…!
And Trei reacted instinctively, lifting his arms. He instantly knocked aside the swords of several of them and struck them down in an instant, coming down in a slight crouch. Trei look up in shock as they came around him.

“Some…someone help!”
Trei sprung up from his footing and knocked an attack aside, slicing upwards with that arm and instantly spun around at shocking speed, striking another away. But, there…there were too many…too many to fight…
Help…

Fear, confusion, they were only a few of the emotions that were whirling through him. But, his mind wasn’t worried about these. No, these were normal. It was the determination. It didn’t make any sense in this situation as Trei spun and attacked anything that got too close. Metal and sparks collided as these odd blades struck against the metal creatures. Sometimes it did little at all, and at others it seemed to create some sort of strength that wasn’t his. What was this?!

And suddenly the sky blurred and the earth was gone from under him. Trei looked up at the person who had pulled him out of the fray, staring right into his eyes looking almost lost. The blades suddenly flashed a bright light and reappeared.

"Keep yourself kid. Fight!"
Trei glanced around from the floor at the ones that had saved him and nodded. There were three people their, weapons drawn, bodies ready. And suddenly Trei felt secure.
Trei quickly got to his feet and brushed off his black pants, straightening his black and red jacket.
What am I doing out here? What’s going on? And then the dream came to mind. Its all that mattered to him right now…

“Jistian! Quick, you have to help me!”
Trei didn’t know what was going on, and he didn’t know why he had to run to Jistian. It had just been a dream. Right? Maybe…maybe this was all some dream. Maybe he was still asleep in his bed. No. He knew this wasn’t so.
Trei shook himself and grabbed the stranger’s arm, rushing through the streets, hoping they’d all follow. He ducked instinctively as blasts of light and metal flew past him, slicing the blades frantically as he made his way through the streets. He dipped into an alley and looked around. Which window, which window? Ah! And instantly he sprung against the wall. He kicked off the wall and found himself rising all the way up to the fourth floor of the apartment like complex, coming to a soft thud in the room.

The walls were a dark blue, posters and drawings plastered the walls next to photographs and maps. But…the bed was empty.
“He…he’s gone. He’s really gone.”

CRASH!

Trei stumbled into a wall as suddenly the whole building shook. Dust and pieces of wood fell from the ceilings and walls. You could hear screams in the streets. It was an attack! They had to…but…Jistian. Trei rushed towards the window, almost ignoring the stranger that had just saved him. But, just as he made it to the balcony he stopped.

A large ship floated up to them, taking up a tight space in the thin alley. Its body was sleek, but it was dull from use and travel. It wasn’t a space ship, no those were only fairy tales, this was a normal flight ship. An escape. The window opened up and a dark figure, his eyes shrouded by a bloody bandage, gestured hurriedly for them to enter. The person yelled something to them, but his voice was drowned out by the sound of its engine and the fire filling the streets. Trei looked from side to side, at the person who had saved him, then with a nod jumped into the top of the ship. He landed with a soft thud on a seat and looked to the side, holding his breath.

“What’s going on? Oh god, what’s going on?”

“Quiet, this isn’t easy kid. Okay, everyone get in”

Came the harsh, serious voice from the pilot, yelling out to the eastern man outside. The pilot gripped onto the steering system in front of him and pulled back on it. Suddenly the ship lifted up above the buildings and he leaned it forward, flipping some switches and instantly sending the ship lurching forward. It flew down into the streets, and they saw just how bad a situation it was. There were hundreds, no thousands, of the metal creatures flooding the streets. And they were different, very many kinds of them.
The armored monsters looked up at the ship. Trei looked at this curiously, peeking through the front window of the small flight ship. And suddenly, all at once, they started leaping upon the ship’s thin wings. Trei jumped back and shock and stared up at several of the controls as suddenly there was a loud beeping noise and a red light began to flash. He wasn’t a pilot but he that that wasn’t good.

“Damn it! Its too heavy, and I can’t shake them off.”
The blindfolded man said, baring his teeth. He turned his head as if to look at Trei. “You, get up on the roof kid. I need you to knock some of those bastards off.”

Trei instantly backed away at this. There was two major faults in this. For one, how was he supposed to stay up on there, and two, he wasn’t a fighter! This wasn’t his thing! This was very wrong, very wrong indeed.
“I…I can’t. I’m not a fighter!” Suddenly another light started to flash and the beeping grew louder.

“Damn it kid, don’t give me this now. Just climb up there and do it! Unless you want to fly the ship?” But, Trei knew this wasn’t going to happen. He didn’t understand a thing about flying a ship, especially through such small streets.
Trei started to say something, then closed his mouth and nodded. He quickly got out of his seat and ran down to the middle of the passenger area, sliding slightly as they took a sudden turn and he almost bumped into a girl he hadn't even notice enter the ship. What am I doing? And with that Trei opened up the lid above him and climbed out on top of the ship. Sudden strengths of wind hit him hard, but he managed to keep his footing and turned to look around him.

There were perhaps fifty of the metal creatures on the ship, and just when they were about to attack him, his arms did it again. Two blades shifted out of his wrists and he balled his hands into fists, spreading his feet in a stance. And instantly he whirled around, knocking several of them back. A sword lunged towards his face, but Trei knocked it aside, piercing one of the blades right through the metal monster’s face. Sparks emitted from it and wires protruded, and Trei did something he knew he couldn’t do before now. He suddenly lifted both feet off the ground, kicked off of the monster’s chest, yanking the sword out. He did a back flip in the air, landing on a crouch and slicing another one.. But, the more of them that he knocked off, the more of the creatures that appeared. They just kept jumping on. They were too close to the ground!

He dropped like a rock from the storms above as a man could be seen clutching onto a metallic creature and continuing to pierce at it through they began they began to spin. A leather boot made a clank against the beast as he separated, a man in leather spreading his limbs and regulating his fall. Dropping fast suddenly his limbs spread and the man wearing goggles smashed his entire body into a metallic figure bouncing him onto the top deck of the ship and sending the beast flying. He rolled on the ground losing momentum before standing up a little taller than the boy and his back to his. He smiled, the odd looking knife in his hand. " I dont recommend body slamming them" Trei glanced towards him, their backs to each other.

The blade’s sprouting out of Trei’s wrists stabbed straight into one of the creatures chest, sparks and wires accompanied. And at that moment Trei’s emerald eyes stared up at the sky where the man had just come from, wondering what ship he'd jumped from. Then he just pushed it away and returned to this horrible reality. What was happening?

"Who-Who are you?"

The diver introduced himself sarcastically, " I'm Dane, I'm a ship diver" he said pulling off his goggles with one hand back still pressed to the other mans. " As you probably noticed" he laughed a bit. It hurt to laugh, he was bruised from hitting that metal creature that quickly.

He looked at the odd equipment on the boys hand a laughed, " So you're that one huh... I didn't expect you to be so young" it seemed like this man couldn't be serious as he jumped into a handspring and landed on the shoulders of the creature, a blade being dug deep through the "helm" or "head" of the creature. Then kicking off and flipping back.

Trei didn’t take the time to introduce himself as suddenly more of them jumped onto the ship and Trei lunged forward. And instantly everything seemed to slow as he was flying towards this creature, his blades pointed right at it. Light seemed to gather at the front of his right blade and instantly in midair Trei spun around, kicking the creature aside. Light suddenly wrapped itself around all the creatures and instantly…they were gone.

Trei stared around at shock, staring at his hands just as the blades disappeared. He didn’t have time to think about it as suddenly a bolt of light whizzed past him and he looked to the side. A great ship was flying right towards them! Trei looked at Dane, and with a simple nod jumped back into the ship through the hole.

“Everyone hold on, I’m about to make some hell of evasive maneuvers!”
Came the pilot’s voice and instantly Trei felt himself lurched forward, slamming into a wall. His eyes widened and he grabbed onto a seat, pulling himself in and strapping himself down. The second this was done the entire ship spun around and they were gone in a flash of light…
