YES YES YES YES YES. I'm glad you're digging the King Goat record. It's so good. The title track is honestly my song of the year. It's been impossible to get out of my head.
And those vocals? Oh man I'm in love.

You should actually check out all three releases Philippe Tougas put out this year. First Fragment are very good. So are Chthe'ilist and Zealotry.

I've been following a few music blogs. Angry Metal Guy might just be my favorite, but Lambgoat, Invisible Oranges, Stereogum, and Noisey are pretty cool too.
Metal Hammer sadly closed down though...

Oh yeah, terrible news. Vektor pretty much lost all its members but its frontman.

I feel bad about not listening to a lot of Kendrick to be honest. Need to catch up on his stuff big time.

My personal favorite Dillinger record is Ire Works, fwiw. I do enjoy their others. Haven't jumped into Dissociation, but admittedly, news of their disbanding made me sad.
Admittedly they can be hard to get into, even for fans of extreme music like me, but when they click they do, and I find they do far more often than they don't.

You should at least check out the tech-death albums that came out this year.
Wormed, First Fragment, and Dormant Ordeal all came out with solid stuff.
And, apparently, so did Ulcerate, but I haven't listened to that one either. I generally really dig Ulcerate though.

I had like six year-end contenders (Khemmis, King Goat, Schammasch, Xoth Hyperion, Vektor) but in the end it was Hyperion vs. Vektor. I'm kinda biased towards Seraphical Euphony because Dissection is one of my favorite bands of all time, but Terminal Redux really floored me.

I see we agree on AotY once again. lol (Was ultimately Vektor vs. Hyperion; I played the Hyperion record more but Vektor just floored me.)

What did you think of the last Dillinger record though, and untitled unmastered?

nnnope not really.
i work a lot but i'm currently in the middle of a 4 day weekend
i have a cold cause it's been snowing and dipping into the 30's and my job is outdoors so that kinda sux ;-;
