"Maybe...I wouldn't know, actually. You can hope for them, and that's about it. But what's important is that you make the best of what you've got now, hmm?" He arranged the slices on a saucer, and sprinkled a small amount of cinnamon sugar over them, handing the plate to Lillith. "There you go..."
"No, not really...only a few of 'em, and I haven't seen a lot of 'em in a while." He sliced the apple cleanly in half and cored it, beginning slices into 16ths.
"Yes, you do...and you'll meet them all someday. Here, hold on." He set her down gently and took up a red and golden apple, rinsing it thoroughly before digging out a paring knife and a plate.
"Heh...that's what I've heard...never saw it myself." *stands up with Lillith and proceeds to the kitchen to find some apples* 'D'you like your apples sliced?"
"Twenty and ten is thirty, Lillith. I will be thirty in a few weeks....and I don't know what your mama meant, saying I look young," he added with a chuckle.
"Close, but not quite. I'm twenty and nine years old, and pretty soon, I'll be having a birthday." He cuddled her gently. "Can you tell me what number comes next?"
