He's one of J.C.'s friends. (I just happen to be closer to him, even though we've only known each other for a little over a year. xD I make good friends really quickly, it seems.) I can only hope the army will grant him leave.

Oh, I'm going Christmas shopping this weekend. I'm thinking about buying you somm'a those thermal socks. My mum has 'em.
Or is there something better? I'm at a 100 dollar limit. OR, I go to 4jays (they sell old games and systems.) and get you something from there. Do you have Wild Arms? If it's too much (It'll be like, twelve bucks probably) I'll pass it by. If not, I'll consider getting it.
