Cabal considers her offer for a short pause, then shakes his head, continuing with another rune as he ignores her.
"As much as your plea bargaining makes me laugh, I will have to decline. I have no desire to do any of my research with the likes of you hanging around. Your incorporeal state would simply cause too many independent variables to occur in my experiments."

*ignores the creature masquerading as Leonie and opens the book, holding it fanned out by one cover*...... *begins charring the edges of the back-most page of the book, running his lighter along the length of the page, causing its edges to brown and curl in on themselves*

"Oh, happy day, option two then," he says with a hint of bitterness. "Your type, which I might add, is far removed from being a young lady as possible, always makes this difficult."
He opens one of the vials, cracking the wax seal with his thumbnail. He dabs his finger in the orange-tinted oil, scrawling a messy rune in the carpet.
"You still have option one," he adds, tidying up the edges of the sigil.

I don't want to touch you any more than I have to. *waits for a moment and then, satisfied that Leonie and the creature borrowing her body can not move past the circle, picks up the journal* .....hm....*puts the salt shaker away in his kit and pulls out Elemes' lighter, flicking it on and staring to brown the edges of the book's cover*

Cabal watches as Russell prepares the salt circle around her, frowning.
"We can do this one of two ways: One, you leave Miss Barrow and this place peaceably, go back to your book, and you never bother anyone again. Two, we drag you kicking and screaming out of Miss Barrow's body and banish you to the pit of Hell you've been avoiding. I would take the first option, if I were you." He opens his gladstone, producing a set of glowing vials.
"So, your choice is?"

Leonie? *arches an eyebrow but doesn't let go of her shoulder with the one hand, reaching into his kit with the other and pulling out his salt-shaker* Sorry about this. I'm going to have to make sure you don't move until the others get here. Stand up. *half-drags Leonie into a standing position, dropping a circle of salt around her* My apologies....
