When force fails, we know the value of politics. However, as with any dealings with the Drow, one should always be careful of what bargain is struck. They won't break a contract once it is signed, but they will make every effort to word it to their favor, including intentionally making loopholes.

Depends on how much of a fight you put up and how easy of a target you would be to take care of. A half dragon any sent out, they would most likely back down. No one likes to make an enemy of a dragon

Mm...is something that does not happen often. Does not happen often mostly because simply the level of training most Drow receive. We have skills that it take most a lifetime to learn. Exactly what happens oft depends on manner of death. But in all cases the death will be at the least noted of and someone will be sent to investigate. Anything of our make will be asked of back. Especially weapons. Some clans have metal smithing techniques that are not known to the surface world. If the one who led to the Drows death did so in honorable combat and they give up any gear they took without a fuss, they are normally granted a small favor.

Mm, it actually did not occur to me initially. Later I did consider it. Though I should also explain the terms on exiled under charge of attempted or actual murder. Pretty much is their way of letting you either die with honor or as a coward. While the execution of a criminal within a clan is a perfectly acceptable form of punishment, oft it is not directly by the hand of another Drow. One of the more common ways to die would be to be fed to the temple spiders. If you are exiled, then that means you are still allowed a warriors death, /if/ you can be caught. Is almost like a game, young hunters can try to prove their skill. Is almost like a bounty system, as also, others who were exiled without honor have the chance of if they capture or kill you, they might be allowed to return to their clan.

Well, goes back to one of those rules of advancement I mentioned. The corollary to advancement by murder is, if you cannot target your superior, target either their second in command or their direct superior, and make sure they get the blame for it. Our legal system is more.....run by those in power rather than being an impartial one. The absolute ruling comes from the clan leader. And not even blood relation spares one from judgement if there is good enough cause.
