Long ago, I was a large establishment in Eastern Europe. At my zenith, I covered territory from the Carpathian Mountains to the Volga River, and from the Black Sea to the Baltic Sea. Many of the major trade routes of the time passed through my territories. I have contributed to much of Eastern Slavic history, politics, and literature. My two bosses Vladimir the Great and Yaroslav I the Wise helped with the Golden Age of Kiev, where we accepted Christianity and created the first East Slavic written legal code. Sadly though, this didn't last. With the fall of Constantinople, my commercial ties with Byzantium, the declining of trade routes, separation of certain areas, internal strife, and the Mongol invasions, I was disestablished in 1349.
