Kazuma Kuwabara

After the ordeal with Sensui, Kuwabara decided to retire from fighting permanently and focus on his schoolwork, so he could live the type of life he was meant to, after realizing that he could not keep fighting yōkai for the rest of his life. Kuwabara became a high school student, and had numerous female admirers, although he remained faithful to his hopeless love for the beautiful Koorime, Yukina Jaganshi. He also studied for his college entrance exams and was recently accepted into a prestigeous university, where he excels at playing basketball for the school team.

Kazuma is now a Sophmore in Tokyo University, and in his free time works construction for some extra cash. It is through his job that he is able to visit his long-time best friend, Yuusuke Urameshi. In all the time he had spent apart from everyone, his feelings for his friends have never dwindled.
