I think that's the case for pretty much every high school...Only a few grow as people in that time I think. You should definitely be proud. ^_^ You are quite accomplished.

I can't agree more! I wasn't even looking for mine and bam, happened before I knew it. Imo, looking too hard is a great way to get you to meet all the wrong people.... jerks included. lol

I have an idea for something we can create independent of Gaia, that would also be open source -- that we could use anywhere and everywhere, a DOM manipulation JS library.
Then we could use it in the extension and site ;D

Well to be honest lol, My headband has one of the best increases in price of some of the items i looked at. I can pretty much trade it for a nitemare scarf where as before headband was 9ish and nitemare 12ish. xD

Well there's a difference in how you handle it. I ignored my teachers and did my homework in class cuz I could teach myself faster than they could. It wasn't that I wasn't learning or being disruptive. But the general population just really doesn't care. Imo, its sad that popularity and what you're wearing/how you look is more important than intelligence. Half those "popular" people end up on welfare, just saying...

Definitely happy for you about the queen part. Sooo many people never find someone until late in life. I didn't find my husband in high school (well, technically, I did), but we started dating right around the time I graduated. So many people spend unbelievable amounts of time and effort into finding their someone.

I know 10 years doesn't seem like a lot of time, but its amazing what you can accomplish even shouldering school, a job, finances, etc, if you are motivated enough.

He swears up and down he's stupid, but honestly, he's smarter than I am. I'm just more educated and had a stronger desire to educate myself. Between the two of us, we'll find a way. Might take awhile, but we'll get there. ^_^ We don't have any investments or an official retirement plan atm, but we both put away money every month and then pretend it doesn't exist. lol So when we want to spend money on say new furniture to make it easier to rearrange our house for coming arrival, we can without any problems. So both of us have money in savings account. Honestly, our financial situation isn't bad. Its just a bit overwhelming for me to have close to 20k in student loans (which is chump change compared to most people's student debt, I know), have a need of a new car, and looking into buying a house all at once. But really, its the thought that counts and many thanks for sharing! ^_^

Actually, one of my sisters is working on buying a ranch. The goal is to get one with 2 houses on the property so that we can have the other one and I can basically work for her as a live in ranch hand/veterinary professional. Help her with husbandry, medical care as needed, etc.... Babysitters in close proximity is just a huge bonus. If I can do that and get a job as an LVT at a clinic I enjoy.... that's the dream for me. ^_^ So we'll see what happens.

Definitely a smart move on your part. When I was your age, I was so focused on getting my degree, nothing else mattered. I'm a hard, very focused worker. Sometimes not always to my advantage. lol But I did manage to pay for my bachelor's degree with minimal financial aid, no loans whatsoever, and only help from the then boyfriend on buying books once or twice. I had 3 under the table jobs in high school and put away sooo much money. lol Might have been a smarter long term move to invest, but not a lot of kids your age think about things like that so I think its great you do. You're smart, you'll be fine in that department.

You would be amazed at what you can do in 10 years of adulthood.
We are trying. We are not where we'd like to be, but his car is almost paid off and after, its my turn. I love my beast to death, but its definitely showing its age....we're still working on buying our first house, but the immediate goal is to get him out of the restaurant business and me under a boss who will actually treat me fairly. Of course, student loans loom overhead, but I got my bachelor's debt free.... a feat not many can say. Especially when my family financial history is considered.... -.-
