...I never thought of it that way, that's a good way to see it! Damn English rules engraving themselves into our brains...now that I think about it English is weirder than other languages. Like according to my French teacher, in France they write the date day-month-year. Which does make more sense because it goes from shortest time period to longest. And they put the object before the colour when describing things because the object is more important than the colour. Which is true.

XD I'm anything but a purist, I'm afraid. Too stubborn for my own good, if I don't like something I'll rip it apart finding reasons as to why it shouldn't be like that.

Did DBZ come before YYH?

Yeah, I think I recall a friend of mine telling me how serious people are about voice acting in Japan- it might just be me, though, but all the girls sound the same when I listen to them. Or at least really similar.

I should start listening to the Japanese version, the only voice there that I'd recognize is Kurama's.

Oh, Vegeta's his name? XD Close enough..Yeah, I saw a picture of this poorly-drawn bulky guy and the only resemblance was spiky black hair. But...really, that's not enough.

First of all Hiei's gorgeous. That separates the two right there.

XD And that's a bad thing to do right?

XD That's probably what did it in for me, I saw as far into the series as I wanted to watch before I saw PR.

XDD At least it's amusing! Ear-splitting too, but...whatever.

XD Am I the only one who doesn't watch Dragon Ball? I feel so left out, everywhere I go I see "Hiei looks like Goku" (or whatever his name is), and I watch Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged and the other characters make fun of Kuwabara because he sounds like a...gay Vegeta?

How I wish I knew Japanese...it's always seemed so complicated to me.

Ah. I see. It's not *too* silly even though Hiei would probably have heard someone say "I want some ice cream" in his time in the human world.

...XD Sweet snow is a cute way to say it anyway.

I never really liked Poltergeist Report- the voices, the art...it was all really off to me. And there were some rather lame scenes...like where they just silently and slowly met up with each other while walking down the street somewhere in the middle or near the end...

Oh! XD I don't remember that part. Then again, I don't remember much of anything. (My mom always says that he sounds constipated when she hears him.)

Mm. I personally like Kurama's and Yusuke's voices- Hiei's, it depends on what he's saying. Sometimes it gets way too strong for someone his size, and it's usually a little too deep, but I can handle it. Did Togashi ever say how he imagined them sounding? I know he said in a volume of the manga that he didn't really have any ideas but surely he'd imagined them talking at least once while making the manga.

Which mistranslations?

Wow, since 98? I only ever heard of it in...

I'd say 2002? But I was hooked right away. I only started buying the mangas about two years ago.

Gah, FUNimation bugs me...they sue-up a lot of the characters.

Yukina. Is she pretty? Yesh. Can people tell she's pretty? Yesh. Did Togashi ever flat-out say that she's pretty? I don't think so. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

But FUNimation...my God. They milk it so much.

And Shizuru's romance with Sakyo, I don't know where that came from.

AND THEY CHANGED LUKA'S NAME. I hated Luka anyway, but still...

And Suzuki.

XD Yet, it's his trademark...*kicks self* I'm deaf.

Ha, I was watching some Dark Tournament episodes where Ruka had Hiei and the Masked Fighter trapped, and Hiei threatened Ruka and the Masked Fighter's like "You truly have a way with women, Hiei."

Kurama x Yukina is by far the weirdest I've heard so far. They never really talked in the series, Kurama just kinda teased Hiei about her...
