About me, huh?

Well, the real name's Maggie, and I'm twenty-three, which makes me practically an old woman by Gaia's standards. I have a B.A. in Environmental Science and am currently working on a graduate degree in Library and Information Studies.

I like the Internet a great deal, although I must say I prefer the smaller percentage of the 'net that type properly, is sarcastic without being emo, and can actually hold a decent conversation.

I like meeting new people, and Gaia's been great for expanding my list of new ideas. I am also a self-proclaimed LiveJournal addict, and most of my non-online life is detailed there. I also love message boards of all sizes and shapes, where people discuss things, much like on Gaia. One could call forums my true internet weakness.

I like anime a great deal, but it's something of an expensive hobby - I am a poor college student, after all. My parents aren't the most approving of this hobby of mine, but frankly, I could care less. As far as I'm concerned - the less they know about my life, the better it is for us all.

I like the Final Fantasy series of video games. These are probably the only video games I actually like to play. I don't watch tons of TV - Gilmore Girls and a few Adult Swim anime is about the grand total.

I really like to read, but alas, I haven't read much for pleasure as of late. I need to rectify this, and quickly. I miss my books. ^^

I'm fairly soft-spoken and shy until I feel comfortable around someone I just met. I procrastinate more than I used to and have a definite sweet-tooth that is a major weakness of mine. I love dolphins, and dislike spiders. I'm afraid of heights. I'm allergic to cats, although I desperately wish I wasn't. Birds are beautiful creatures, even though I never want to fly like them.

I like the Harry Potter series, and will defend Remus Lupin, Hermione Granger, and Nymphadora Tonks till the very end. I own an insane amount of DVDs, and I sometimes wish I had artistic talent. I ramble too much and like to sleep too much.

That's me in a nutshell. Hope I didn't scare you all too badly. ^^;

Heh... I tend to get a bit impulsive in my buying on such shopping sprees too. sweatdrop Usually I note items that I want and sit around patiently for a long time to eventually snap them up in the marketplace when someone sells them for bargain prices. However, when I'm making a particular avatar that I want to put out in the next few days, I generally put that usual strategy aside and just buy the items I need. You know, it annoys me how many people in the marketplace sell shop items for more than what they're worth in the shops themselves, but it's even more shocking that some people out there are apparently stupid enough to fall for it. @_@

I always start with stuff already in my inventory, but there are times when I just can't find the right colour, shade, and/or style in pants/tops/whatever. And then I go on a shopping spree looking for new items to match while crossing my fingers that the stuff I find in the stores will be cheap! xd I've actually greatly expanded my collection of bottoms and various other pieces during shopping trips like these. Both the jeans and the shoes I'm wearing right now come from such ventures. ^^

I still prefer the shops' previews over those of the cash shop and marketplace because you can view how a potential item will look with the avatar you're working on but haven't saved yet. 3nodding

Yup... I never got to use any of the pretty golds and reds in the previous evolution before it changed. Nevermind, I suppose I used the skirt for the somewhat recent classy pirate avatar, although most of the skirt was underneath the coat and couldn't be seen.

But yay, no evolution for the pendant this week! This actually isn't the avatar I was talking about. The one I meant will use the brown dress in it while I found out at the last minute that this avatar's arms look better with the green wraps around them. With the other one, I'm just waiting on the hair. Right now I'm thinking of going with a wig from Noel's Gift, but I want to see if Dainty Porridge will look better. ninja

I am! I love this avatar. I wanna keep it for a while until I've perfected the next one. I hope Seracila Pendant doesn't evolve again tomorrow because the new one is dependent on one of the current evolution's positions. ^^;

I know! It seems like I'm in the midst of drooling over a bunch of items in one RIG when they pull that one away and quickly bring in yet another RIG with a whole new batch of really nice but also really expensive items. gonk

It and Bitter Porridge come from the RIG that's out right now, Love Charm. They're both differently coloured versions of Sweet Porridge that came out in the Snow Apple RIG. Sweet has blonde hair, Dainty has cute brown hair that reminds me of the old Lolita style I used to have, and Bitter has red hair. 3nodding
