"That girl's wilder than a buckin' bronco!" Ruby
Ruby is one of Tantalus' actors in Final Fantasy IX. She has a strong Southern American accent, which is shown regularly in her speech patterns. She would personally be happier if her troupe would just be actors and not thieves.
She was going to play the role of Cornelia in Tantalus' production of the play called "I Want to be Your Canary", but she had the part unintentionally stolen from her by Princess Garnet. During the escape, Ruby gets left behind in Alexandria. She starts up her own theater in Alexandria and remains there even after the rest of Tantalus returns to Lindblum, and begins to work with the famous actor Lowell Bridges, much to his unhappiness.
