It's ok, everybody makes mistakes. The possibility of error or unexpected change is often called the human variable. I would much rather exist in a realm of infinite possibility than one controlled by a force incapable of logic and/or reason. Just so you know I don't really know where I'm going with this, it's what I call thought provoking conversation :]
Indeed. Finding more than one way to conclude what happened is a good way to differentiate the innocent from the guilty. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time can be unavoidable, but law enforcement penalizing/punishing the wrong person leaves those who are guilty the opportunity to continue. I've got a lot of respect for Forensic Science because of all the different methods available to clarify exactly what happened instead of scapegoating the nearest minority.
