Dax got possessed while rescuing someone from a magical situation, precisely because Dax has no magic to ward himself against that. The thing that tried to take over his body was counting on the fact that Dax has no magical skills. It ended up expelled because Dax managed to get enough control back to march into the Battledome and goad a goddess to blast him with magic.

Things are a little hectic right now, but I'll let you know when I make a post in the Battledome for us to have a match.
