Far Out Spaces
an echo in the deep, deep dark room
he steps toward the black of another's gloom
the moments he enters are ones left behind
and the breaking of glass burn into his mind,
one a few who accepts the hue.
the colors pour in from far out spaces
and the signs on the walls come from the tiniest traces
from feathers that fall the from the ceiling on high
to the embers that crackle and warm to his thigh
the colors tell a tale of a thousand embraces.
he is not engulfed, but welcomes the change
the beauty of his sight and the world rearrange
to see his heart laying on the floor
and this sight bother him no more
the butterflies lifting him to his happy plane.
the colors pour in from far out spaces
and the room becomes light with a thousand faces
a smile and a frown and the proof of life
that makes his back heal from her knife
and forget of her and all her places.
his happy gleam and a dirty suit
almost louder than his obvious mute,
the only broken hearted loser to grace this land
and to leave it here no less with his brand
like bleeding ears for his tired brain
a dream of the sky in maroon and gray
and his hand to touch and point the way
"i miss the way you'd see her smile
but this spectrum makes it all the while"
and to say this every day
its not this place he finds himself falling
and its not this world that left him there crawling
but it is under this sky that he proved us all wrong
with a smile on his face and promise kept for so long
we now find ourselves with the parchments scrawling.

and on a leash he puts the reaper
