Amy~ heartAmy Rose formerly known as Rosy the Rascal ,is a pink, female hedgehog who has chased Sonic out of obsessive love and has been trying to win his heart by any means, including impressing him by fighting robots, and jokingly threatening to keep him locked in prison.
Amy is the bright and overly cheerful self-appointed girlfriend of Sonic.She loves soft-serve ice cream and hates boredom,has a natural initiative,and a strong competitive streak,but gets into trouble often.With her strong sense of intuition and great passion Sonic has difficulty escaping her.
Because of her pure heart,her character has often been used as the series Ingenue.Amy is quite formidable with her Piko Piko Hammer,a weapon with which her skills are second to none.Also, with the addition of Cream the Rabbit, Amy seems to have found herself a sidekick similar to Sonic's own Tails.
Lily~ heart
Lily is the name given for the blue Flicky that Amy Rose befriends, although the creature was referred to only as "Birdie". Around Lily's neck is the cyan Chaos Emerald which is why she is desired by Doctor Robotnik.
Lily and her family were apparently captured by Dr. Robotnik, to be used as organic batteries in his badniks. Amy first encounters Lily when the bird slams into her after escaping from Robotnik's Egg Carrier. Soon Lily is pursued by ZERO and Amy vows to protect her. After getting separated from Sonic, Amy and Lily get kidnapped by ZERO and are put in a holding cell aboard the Egg Carrier. Robotnik orders E-102 Gamma down to the cells to retrieve Lily from Amy, and as the robot approaches, Lily flies up to Gamma's face, appearing to almost recognize it. Unknown to Amy, Lily's mother was the bird put inside Gamma. Because of this, Gamma reneges against his programming and releases Amy and Lily.
After Amy and Lily escape from the Egg Carrier, Amy discovers the picture of Lily with her family in the locket around the bird's neck. Amy decides to help Lily find her parents. They eventually come back to the Egg Carrier where they do find Lily's parents, recently released from their E-series hosts E-101 Beta and E-102 Gamma when the robots destroyed each other. Just as they were about to reunite, Lily is shot down by ZERO. Angered, Amy fights and destroys it. Lily is not seriously hurt by ZERO's sneak attack and is able to fly off with her parents.
During the course, Lily always appears flying by Amy's side.
However, like Cheese, Lily's gender varies between media. In Sonic Adventure, Lily was referred to as male by Amy. In Sonic X, however, Lily is female. Also, in the original game, it is Lily and her parents who are imprisoned, while in Sonic X she is taken with her brother and sister.
