Aw sorry to hear that! I hope you're all better now (probably since it takes me forever to get online again lol). Great news though! I got internet again finally after six months without, which is a huge relief. And I'm also all registered for a course next weekend where I'm going to become a personal trainer!! I'm so so very excited to begin helping others this way, it's so rewarding!! What's new with you? You must be so excited that Hallowe'en is just around the corner!

Oh wow that all sounds so fun!! I don't have a job at the moment, but I'm in the market. I'm submitting my resume tonight/tomorrow to be a personal trainer at a local gym. If that falls through, I have experience as a server, so I can always apply to the local Boston Pizza xD Haha

I wish I could dress up so much! That sounds really awesome. Let me know what you end up dressing as for each of the days! You must be so excited that Oct 1st is tomorrow then whee

Hahaha I know the feels, as much as it is kind of stressful and super exhausting, I love moving because I love going through all my stuff and organizing everything (it's the OCD! lol) and my favourite is unpacking and finding homes for all my crap xD

I"M ALIIIIIVE!!! So sorry about all of this! I just finished moving, so I've been super busy the last couple weeks. Still trying to get internet at the new place though stressed scream gonk

Haven't had much of a chance yet to try the Sims re-install (it's been packed for a bit and my laptop was in for repairs for like a while too), but I will be finishing that soon! I've had the saved folder sitting on my desktop since you told me xD

I completely get what you mean about the digital age and letters. My favourite thing is/was getting the mail, but now no one sends letters anymore. It'd be neat to get a pen-pal, I'm sure you can find them online or something these days!

Ooh Skyrim is fun 3nodding Mostly League, every once in a while Dota 2, or Path of Exile. I've always wanted to get into WoW, but I know that I'd get way too addicted to it and spend way too much money sweatdrop

Hahaha the heart of the cards reference is awesome! We always used to make jokes about that when you drew just the right card you needed! XD But I totally agree with picking cards because they suit you and your play style.

I've never heard of any of those authors or series, but I'm adding them to the list! I'm into mostly fantasy. My favourite author of all time is hands down Brandon Sanderson, and I'd recommend any of his works.

You've got some great stuff on your DA! 3nodding Mine is SusanJohns, but I don't really have any recent work up there. I'm in the process of creating an online gallery for some of my school work I just finished. The only thing is that Sheridan, my college, is keeping some of them for a bit because they're on display, so I'm waiting to get them back.

Not too weird, I'm a computer nerd too. Or rather, used to until I made the switch to Mac a couple years back and my god, it's so amazing! I'd never go back to a PC, and I do online gaming too, so that's saying a lot! xd

Those decks seem pretty intense! I've got a few planeswalkers too, but I can't recall which one's off the top of my head. They'd be a few years old though; they're from when they first brought the planeswalkers back into rotation and the next few sets, but I stopped collecting soon after. It wasn't as much fun anymore because my friends would just go online and buy cards specifically to counter my deck, so it kind of took the fun out.

What sort of books do you like to read? What are your favourite series or authors? I love reading too 3nodding

Oooooooh awesome I've been drawing for essentially the same amount of time myself! Basically my whole life, and I was fortunate enough to be able to go to a variety of art schools (I have about nine years of formal art education, can you tell I love it? wink ) Do you have a picture or scan of the Di portrait? I'd really really love to check out some of your work!!! I was the same way with the anime - I drew it all through high school and I loved it so much, but my style has developed into a decent blended style that brings the best of both worlds (realistic and anime) that I find really fun to draw and looks pretty nice (I can show you some scans sometime!)

I'd also love to see some paintings too, that's another mutual interest! Don't stress yourself too much with regards to canvas and such - practice small paintings on illustration board or even some (sandpaper + gesso-ed) masonite boards until it's worth putting the good money into (both of those are quite cheap). Try two 8x10 paintings a week and you'll really watch yourself improve quickly. If you make one of your weekly paintings always a self portrait too, it's a good measure of your progress and you can really play around with all sorts of styles and techniques, then practice that in your other weekly paintings. You can vary the time limit and just play around and have fun with it. Do a half hour one one week, a two hour one a different week, 45 min, etc. and practice blocking in your local colours quickly, and blocking in the lighting by using only a shade and highlight colour to create depth (to help with this, start with a size 8 brush [filbert, long handled brush as always for acrylics]). Then go back with details and adjust where needed, adding more values (now you can use smaller brushes!). With regards to paints; they're something you're really going to want to put the good money into. You just can't get quality work with student grade paints (just don't get me started. lol xD). Winsor and Newton are probably one of the best brands.

I actually haven't been on my sims in a while because the files are corrupt and I'm afraid I have to re-install, but I want to keep my saved files and I'm not sure how to go about doing that :/
For Magic I started out in blue and white, so I'm always partial to them, but I really like all of the colours. The one that I've never really used is green though. I have a pretty brutal Eldrazi deck with an Emrakul that's pretty damn deadly, but I haven't played Magic in a while though because it's so expensive to stay with the current sets.
I also haven't played much DnD because I don't have a group anymore, and hardly any time for it.

What else are you into? Are you artistic at all? biggrin
