I know what that's like. Last time I left it was for 3 years when I started undergrad. Then I got depressed senior year and...got trapped back in the labyrinth of suffering burning_eyes
I'll stick around, I've got pals here again now 4laugh I haven't in a long time, since like 2010, so it's not so bad.

I like poetry that's free verse typically, so without rhyme or anything
most of my favorites were on this journal called swarm that now seems to have disappeared BUT
this one is one i like, my friend works for the journal it's in and i have the book she wrote as well.
what i like isn't everyone's style tho.

Ah, he seems like a more horrific poe tbh! poetry wise. a really similar cadence and like...visual vocabulary.

Ugh i don't even want to think about it, truly. I like to push all of those pictures out of my brain gonk

Book publishing comes a lot later, journal publishing is a gradual thing~ I'm already in one and forthcoming in another and submitted to like 20 but basically life is a constant process of submitting and hoping for acceptances lmao.
A hiatus seems nice about now. How do you break free gonk
I'll gather some poems i like from modern journals and send them to you in a PM later on, I tried to send you some that I usually send but a journal i like seems to have shut down gonk and a few were on there so i need to cultivate some new ones or hope that the owner of the site pays their domain bill...

I've never read lovecraft but I keep meaning to!

When I moved out of my mom's and into my current place I just left all of the stuff there lmao, I dread moving for my MFA because I'll take it with me...i should have a bonfire gonk burn the ghosts of artists past.

I like mostly modern poets tbh so no one anyone has ever heard of ( /hip)
Wayne Miller, Nikki Beer, Bob Hicock, I get bored w/ classical poets. I like older authors tho, most of the last generation artists like hemmingway (as self indulgent as he is) faulkner, Huxley, etc. Although admittedly I haven't read in awhile sad Not novels at least. You?

Yeah i'm the same! once in awhile i come across an old sketchbook and i want to toss it...but i'd have to look at it to do that lmao. I would love to get rid of my DA but I don't remember the pw burning_eyes burning_eyes
it's on the internet forever, taunting me.

I write poetry 4laugh so nanowrimo isn't really for me. I'm attempting to go to graduate school for it if i ever finish these apps.
