"To Aru Majutsu no Index"
The two main characters: I forgot the guy's name, but he has a right hand that cancels out magic/skill things, and his catchphrase is 'this is misfortune!' since he has such ridiculously terrible luck. The other, Index, is a girl who has memorized all I think known 55,000(?) tomes of magic, and is very adorable and 'whee!~'.

XD indeed. You have the same opinion as me. n.n That and popular ones tend to get extended, and I can't stand watching long series. And I haaaaaaaaate filler episodes and such.

Though I did watch this one anime, where it looked like the cliche 'beach filler episode', but then it turned crazy, and then into serious plot.

I haven't watched it all, but I'm avoiding reading the ending, as I want to see for myself. If I ever do get to watching.
Then again, since a lot of people are starting to know it, I'm shying away from it. I have an aversion to popular animes just by habit.

She's the first avatar I've seen with pink hair in a long, long time.

I started hating it after the first book. And everyone insisted on not spoiling it for me after I said I wasn't going to read the last book anymore, because I simply don't care.
Eventually I got the Chay/Yukai to tell me.
Also, as a funny side note, whenever I say 'Eternal' out loud, I mumble so bad it sounds like 'A turtle.' XD
