About Fran

Fran is a character in Square enix's Final fantasy XII, the only non-hume in the cast of playable characters, and Balthier's partner aboard the airship the Strahl. She is known as a master of weapons, and, like the rest of her race, she is known for her grace and intellect.
She is a viera, a race with rabbit-like features that dwells in the forest. Her real age is unknown, but it is known that she left her home village of Eruyt 50 years ago, something unheard of in the viera race. She has two sisters, Jote and Mjrn, Mjrn being the younger, and Jote being the oldest. Because Fran left the wood so long ago, her ears have been dulled by her time spent in the human territory, and she can no longer hear the voice of the wood, like all viera can.
She is partner's with the sky Pirate Balthier, being in charge of maintaining the ship, and occasionally flying it. It is unknown whether or not their relationship is more than professional.
Fran and Balthier first met up with Vaan and the main party while in the palace of Rabanastre, running into Vaan when the Goddess Magicite ended up crashing the hoverbike the two were riding.
Fran, like all of Viera is sensitive to the anomaly known as the mist, seeing it as a physical object. In rare cases, the mist can cause her to go into a berserk frenzy, attacking everything in sight with her hands.
