Correction: WOULDN'T suggest looking up like a typical tourist. That's how you get your s**t stolen. Don't trust anyone on the street unless you want to buy a fake something or other just to say that it's fake. My mom did that. She bought a fake designer purse just because. People are very sheisty towards tourists. They don't expect a native NYer to fall their s**t so they prey specifically on people that look like tourists. Also, don't buy or wear an I <3 NY shirt.
biggrin Thanks! My mom went to New York last year. If you love artsy fartsy type stuff, of course MoMA is a MUST. I've always wanted to go but there's a s**t TON of stuff to do. So many different clubs and such varying scenes. Any type of music you like, there's a scene for it in NY. Gay, straight, bi, trans, there's a bajillion different clubs for that, too. Central Park, of course. I would suggest looking up and taking pictures. Instead, sit in Central Park and people watch. Man, I would go to new York just to people watch. Have fun and stay safe!
