I intend on becoming many things: a teacher; a lover; a writer; a photographer; a speaker; a listener; an activist; an artist . . .
and so much more.

I know what it's like to grow up without a father. I know what it's like to have to become a mother to a little sister. I know what it's like to grow up different from everyone else. I know what it's like to be betrayed in the worst way. I know what it's like to have a past that haunts you. I know what it's like to lose control and what it's like to let bad choices control your every move. I know what it's like to lose someone to cancer, drugs, suicide and gang violance. But I also know what it's like to be strong, because I know that there is always tomorrow to make it all better.

I have grown stupid in New York; I have lived and learned in Missouri; and I aspire to live in Virginia to become what I've always wanted to be: Free.
