Biography

My real name is Jeanette. I actually go by Fate online and off. Some people that first knew me online ended up calling me that when we got to meet in person. Not being entirely fond of my real name, I actually prefer Fate.

I am currently engaged to a wonderful man named Tony. We met through a mutual friend and started dating August 1st, 2006. He and I both share an uncanny amount of similarities and beliefs. He truly completes me, and we both happened to find each other during a point in our lives when we were ready to give up on love. I am lucky that he found me. :] Our wedding date is scheduled for July 17th, 2010.

Though I am a Video Game Artist and Designer major (going to the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg), I actually feel as if I probably should have gone into some sort of writing degree. Much of what I do at school is 3D design, which is not something I enjoy in the slightest. Drawing even is much more of a hobby for me than something I probably would want to do for a living. I like to draw for myself. I don't like being given assignments and forced to draw something for others.

To this day, I am undecided what job would make me most happy. While many people at least have dreams jobs they can fantasize over, I, on the other hand, do not. I remain indecisive on what would make me happy (though holding a position as an aerospace engineer or an astronaut would be pretty high up there). More than anything else, I just want to find my source of happiness and do something that I don't dread or regret. I, of course, want to make enough money to live more than comfortably off of in addition, but getting a job that I not only love but make good money at is more than what most people achieve, so I'll continue dreaming.

I'm a pretty laid-back person, and am always open and friendly. Truly, I’m unlike other girls. I am not what most people think or expect. I am girly, but I’m also a dork – I love video games and science fiction. I am very talented at understanding people and possess a certain amount of knowledge on psychology. I can be both a blonde and an intellectual. I enjoy coffee, energy drinks, and eating out. My breath is easily taken away by romance. I live weekend to weekend. I am very picky about my friends, and choose my true friends with careful consideration. I am a neat and clean person. I love all sorts of animals, even those most people don’t like. I do hate bugs and spiders, however. I like modern/contemporary things and fashion. I enjoy stargazing very much. I believe in life on other planets. I have my own religion and my own beliefs, which, at best, can be described as agnostic. I believe in a power greater than ourselves. I also believe in ghosts and have been ghost hunting and investigating since I was 17. I think everyday you have an effect on the world. I trust the roads that life takes you on, even if they’re not always easy. I do believe in fate.

If you know me in the real world (in other words, outside of the internet), then you know that I am a fairly shy person. Significantly humble and timid, I find it rather difficult to start, hold, and lead conversations. However, I am approachable in that I am kind and friendly to everyone from all walks of life. This isn't to say that I don't prefer to talk to one type of person over another, but simply that I don't typically treat people differently unless given a reason.

I don't take well to rude comments, immature behavior, or being made fun of in any respect. I also do not like to have my intelligence insulted. I'm fine associating with all types of people, but like I stated above, I choose my real friends meticulously for many reasons. I do have many strong beliefs, but I'm not likely to ever jump at the chance to discuss or debate them with anyone, since most people in the world are likely to disagree, and in the end, arguing about what one believes to be the truth is no more advantageous or useful than discussing the weather, as not only are a person's beliefs unlikely to change, but the real truth on things that are debatable can never be known by anyone, else they would not be debatable.

If you hate the music I listen to, that's fine. I most likely hate yours too. Lest you've forgotten, being different is what makes this life worth living. If you dislike my taste is something, then that's cool. Let's take pleasure and find interest in our differences rather than judging one another with our contrasts.
