You get at least 50 gold for every post you make in the forums though it goes down with the more posts you make. I know you know you get gold for commenting on profiles. I've commented on so many today that I only get 1g per comment!

Then there's the game Booty Grab, that pays well. Shoot, you can get gold for playing any game.

winning the lotto is not impossible. Highly unlikely, but never impossible.

There are other ways of getting gold y'know.
