It's a map.
Pressing Wrench's insignia on the bottom of the ring activates the holographic projector, creating a small map of your current surroundings. It marks other people as blue dots, and can show when one is talking to another through CommLink by drawing a dotted line between the two dots. Nothing is labeled, except for a compass in the corner, and the little dot in the center with her name under it. When she first turns it on, it'll ask for her name and favorite color. She will be represented in her favorite color, while everything else will be in green.
