About Me

Hi, I'm Esper Ranger and at 54 I'm probably too old to be on sites like this... but here I am anyway. I was fortunate enough to live in Japan for three years and still visit every chance I get. I hope to win the Powerball someday so that I can retire in Kobe or Arima.

My hobbies include reading Japanese light novels and manga, playing video games and writing stuff for tabletop RPGs. I also like hiking in the mountains (of Japan), playing collectible card games when I can find an opponent and collecting photo books of interesting places or things. I'm also a fan of Japanese super heroes in the Super Sentai and Ultraman genres.

My favorite tabletop RPGs are D&D 3e, Pathfinder 1e, TSR's Marvel Super Heroes (FASERIP) and Teenagers From Outer Space. My favorite CCG are Weiss Schwarz, Yu-Gi-Oh (old school version), Pokemon and I'm learning Magic The Gathering.

My favorite singers are Aya Matsuura and Hikaru Utada. My favorite author is Terry Pratchett. My favorite manga authors are Rumiko Takahashi, Ken Akamatsu, Takashi Shiina and Masakazu Katsura.

My dream is to retire in Japan with a hot spring nearby and just spend my days writing and taking naps.
